Its true, only since the 80's has their been campaigns for the removal of the flag from state buildings, usually driven by leftists. Remember in the 50's and 60's most blacks didn't or couldn't vote.

I was a racist of epic proportions. One of the Crawley Skinheads, and originally a card-carrying member of the far Right, I also took my politics into the military. Invited to join some of the more "dedicated" branches of the far right, but forced to review my position when I was party to a conversation between two area leaders and a party bigwig in the mid/late 80s.

I hated everything because I was told to, and I was unable to use my own intellect to rationalise it. It was only when I was able to separate from the movements that I worked things out for myself. I have a pretty clear view of how it all holds together, and I hate the way they manipulate people for their own ends. I see the danger that their leadership poses, and I see where and how they recruit. And no, I am not involved in the far-left movements, because they are equally as dangerous for their use of zealots. I prefer to tread my own path in the middle.

I think any political party does that Left, right, middle. At the end of the day its down to what feels right to you. I was involved with far right groups for many years and strange as it may seem I would of and have never considered myself a racist.
