Yes of course I wasn't saying that though. What I was trying to say was that the flag never originally had the racist undertones that it does today....Yes the confederate states were fighting to retain slavery but it wasn't the entire reason for the war. Today the flag is really horribly used.

Never been called a racist because of the tattoos though - and I was a racist when I was younger, card-carrying full blown member of the Aryan master-race. Thats bullshit. It was the national flag of the states that ceded from the union. And was retained as a popular symbol of southern pride after the civil war.
