Likely Horton, My dad took me to the goldstone while i was a baby, however my first memories are of Richie Barker at Gillingham. However first manager I remember is Adams so 15 from him.

Pat Saward for me. I could almost claim Freddie Goodwin as I saw him bring his newly promoted Birmingham City team to the Goldstone in May 1972 for Geoff Sidebottom’s testimonial, featuring a young Trevor Francis and Bob Latchford.

You must be the same as me. My debut was Barrow in May 1969, with McCauley in place.
I counted Adams and Mullers twice (accidentally, but justified by nifty after timing).
It is possible I have miscounted, of course.
Surely Goodwin was already in place in 1969?

Ah ye olde double count!

Depending on the counting of Mullers/Adams

26 managerial appointments, or 24 different managers.

I'm an odd 24 if counting reappointments. I started under Mullers in 1980 but never saw a Jeff Wood game and also missed Mickey Adams part 2 (thank God) as I was living abroad for all of that part of our managerial history.

Just running through that list and thinking “who were my favourites”? Really hard to decide. Is it based on if I liked their personality (Saward/Goodwin)
nostalgia for childhood (Macauley)
best football (Poyet/deZerbi/Hurzeler).
I discounted “success” as it is ultimately so ephemeral - so often balanced by failure.
In the end I went for Archie Macauley……..the call of lost youth 🤣
