It's not about numbers. It's about tolerance.

If I was to tell you that one of my gay friends used to play professional football, but was unable to come out during his time at his [league] club, would that disturb you?

Believe me ... Justin Fashanu wasn't the only gay professional footballer in history.

i appreciate that, but their just a minority though, hardly worth the funding .

Rubbish argument.

Albion In The Community represents the community.

In our community is a large number of gay men and women.

Despite the liberal attitude of Brighton folk, there is still a significant level of intolerance, homophobia and bigotry in this country.

I'm proud that the Albion are the first club in this country to address such a serious issue.

I don't have a problem with gay and lesbians but I hate all this PC bollocks in football. Do BHA take part in the Pride festival

How is it politically correct to welcome a group of persons who have/do face oppression and discrimination?

There has been some good coverage for Nigel Owens (an openly gay rugby referee). Nice article in the Observer on Sunday.

Can you imagine the sort of vitriol a gay referee would face in football? How is it 'PC' to be inclusive?

When you say 'all this PC bollocks', what else are you talking about?

As a nationalist I face oppression and discrimination

Er, yes they are or is everyone in football heterosexual?

PC is a lazy term for morons. You seem rather fond of it.

Erm you seem unaware what oppressed means.

I dont think I used the term PC, it was coventry seagull. I do hope your not that confused.

I dont have a problem with the club helping out the gays, or the campaign which i consider misguided.

What does grate is the "right-on" mob eulogising about it and whinning about oppression and other BS.

In the last two hours, the US Military have decided that they are ready to lift the gay ban.

US Army Secretary says military is ready to lift gay ban - from Pink News - all the latest gay news from the gay community - Pink News

Now tell me that the behaviour prior to this news was not oppression?

What has sexuality got to do with football. Watch the game go home and f***ed who you want. As long as its legal of course.

Nothing really, but don't you find it odd that everyone in football is straight? Why is that? Football dominates British life and a lot of people learn things from football. It is a powerful tool. Tolerance is essential, but somewhat lacking when it comes to soccer.

When I watch football. I don't think about someones sexuality. I like George Michael. (yes i know his a greek immigrant) but i don't listen to his music thinking about him taking it up the arse
