Northern Hemisphere.
When I got to my first Amex match, I didn't feel like crying at all. I just felt very nostalgic about certain matches like the Mansfield 6-0 win and the Preistfield fans united against Doncaster. The memories of how far we'd come since the Hereford game created a very nice and achieving feeling.
Saying that, the only time I have cried because of football was when I bolted it home as a wee nipper after the Sudbury FA cup match (at the Goldstone) only to find out I'd missed extra time and penalties. That would've been the first penalty shootout Id ever seen! I burst into tears when finding out what I'd done!

Not seen that....looks more polished than the other one. Fantastic memories. Remember walking through some absolute BEARS who we thought were Cardiff fans looking for a scrap, we just did not look tough enough for them to bother tbh. The game was mental too. I have never seen a Brighton crowd go so nuts as when we scored at Hereford........It will always stay in my memory.

Born out of the ashes of Hereford United, Hereford FC were placed in the Midland Football League for the 2015/16 season after the former club folded in December 2014.

The Bulls will compete in the Southern League South & West Division in the coming season.

Hereford United * famed for the 1972 FA Cup victory over Newcastle United and that Ronnie Radford goal had been blighted by financial issues for the final years of their existence, facing winding up petitions in the Court nearly twenty times during the last two years.

The club’s varying owners were in open disagreement with the majority of the support over the final few months, and the end came as a relief to many albeit tinged with much sadness.

Playing out of the historic Edgar Street Athletic Ground that hosted a string of Hereford clubs in the 1920s before Hereford United was formed from a merger of local sides, the new club have retained the nickname The Bulls, the white shirts, and the Herefordshire Bull on the club crest * even parading the real thing at their first competitive match in August and later at Wembley for the FA Vase Final.

The Bulls have already started writing their own history by setting a string of Midland Football League attendance records, starting with their first game, and breaking ground attendance records at several away grounds as they took the Midland Football League double along with the Herefordshire FA County Challenge Cup in their first season a year finished off with taking over 20,000 supporters to Wembley in the FA Vase Final.

That's still quite a fall in status. I thought they were about the same level as Whitehawk ie 6th tier.

Can't play it at work but I'm pretty sure I haven't see it before - and even if I have some things are definitely worth a re-post.

On that front has anyone got the video where the footage is the standard TV one, but the commentary is the radio one with Tony Millard? That is brilliant

Brings it all back. Up in the stand, the Gulls Eye coach there and back, the nerves shredded to bits. What a day. What a season. Was it really 20 years ago. I suddenly feel very old and sad.

Seems like a good thread to add my first post on the "new" NSC. It was an amazing day. The drive up, effectively in convoy with thousands of other Albion fans, the growing nerves as kick off approached, the feeling of utter, utter desolation at half-time as we stared into the abyss and then unbridled joy when Robbie scored, the relief at Hereford missing what looked like a clear chance near the end and the glory of the final whistle. Finally, the satisfying, content, relieved exhausted journey home.

Looking at it from a distance of 20 years it's easy to forget that turning it around and getting to where we are now wasn't inevitable. We all (Dick, Tony, Martin Perry, the club, the fans' leaders, and not least the fans) had to fight every step of the way.
That's why we must savour every moment of what we have now and that's why we, as a club and community, are different.

I still get a lump in my throat every time I see the Amex - it represents stability and the guarantee of a future for the club I love and so nearly lost.

Do you think Hereford fans feel SICKENED when they see where we are now, and where they are ?

I would be.

Great video of our survival. Forgot we played them in the cup 6 months later. Surprised to see that Turner's resignation was rejected. Maybe he wasn't a man of his word:glare:
