A goth band, Ben's Grandaddy.

I don't buy any of this - Knight did it as a favour to Gold to protect him from an FA investigation malarkey.

Point 1 - until he actually invests in this club he's done nothing wrong
Point 2 - what can the FA do if the Argus print a story? Gold simply denies it - end of.
Point 3 - is that the proper medium through which to deny press stories?

Argus says there has been 'contact' between DK/BHA and Gold - there hasn't been. No foundation for the story. DK wanted this point emphasised - Paul Samrah made sure iit was, over the PA. End of story on that one.
As for the wider point - whether anybody with 'lots of money' has the 'fans' support' to 'take over' our club...
well we all have different opinions about that.

Sadly Attila I think a lot of people, me included, believe that fans "close" to DK such as Watts and Costa would rather things stayed as they are with a very close relationship, jobs as announcers, lots of chest puffing stuff etc, outings on the pitch, blah blah blah than to have us transformed into a quality South Coast Premiership football Club. The latter could be achieved with Gold and then the masses would return, but sadly I don't think thats what Paul Samrah/Sarah Watts/Liz Costa etc want. They'd rather we become a club owned by the supporters and hence limited in ambition.

Forgive me if I am wrong, I admire all the work they have done for the club, you included, but I say as I see.

Speaking personally:
I want us to be a quality South Coast Premiership football club! I'm an Albion fan! I want to see my club succeed! Hence the anti Archer campaign, BISA and everything since. I know (given that the UK football model relies on private money rather than fans' ownership, unlike much of mainland Europe) that major investment will be needed. I welcome that. There is absolutely no contradiction between that happening and having a good relationship with a chairman/board who respect our past. I am certain that Paul S wants that too. He's an accountant for heaven's sake.

I don't have cosy meetings with anyone - I'd rather be onstage or in the pub!

Okay perhaps I was being a little harsh on you and Paul. Although I do think some fans have that perception. And I'm sure (well in fact I've heard them say it!) that this is very much the case for Liz and Watts. And that I think is very very sad. Forget your self interests dear and just welcome investment when it comes. If we want to fill Falmer week in week out we need serious investment in the squad.
