Gus's first major clanger in my view, or Tony's/Ken Brown's if Gus did not handle the negotiations. Forster I fully backed him over, but not regarding Murray. It was clearly obvious that Murray was the sort of player we were going to need this season, and he has not been replaced.
If any of the Palace fans are still reading, do you still have that academy in the old prep school at Godstone? Because you certainly seem to be turning out some gems, even if you do lose most of them. Being based near East Grinstead, one hears quite frequently of the Palace academy, as much as I might not want to. Our set up for kids now seems to have a good reputation; the daughter of a fellow school governor is an Albion junior, and her mum is very impressed, but our youth set up seems to be way behind Palace. hopefully something that can be sorted out by the new development at Shoreham.
