There's a beautiful Arbutus at Great Dixter. Must go and revisit that garden.

Been a sad lack of butterflies in my garden for the last couple of years but this morning a surprise visitor, a Speckled Wood. Hastily taken with my phone and cropped so quality not brilliant. Don't remember seeing one in the garden before.

I have these a lot in my garden. My garden is very shaded so not many butterflies frequent it sadly. I occasionally get the similar looking Meadow Brown as well.
