I am a massive Dark Materials fan.
So perhaps it would have been more apt to refer to Ragnar the Bastard as
my Dæmon.

Great shots these (esp. No. 2 + 3).
It's a lot harder than it looks to get such spot-on focus here with a shallow DOF/moving subject.
