Orange County. California.
The Aguilera and that Shakira number, in home and away kits respectively, meeting in the middle of the stage built over the South Stand, onto some poles lowered from the gangway thing that runs around the inside of the roof...slowly removing said Albion kits, ending up with an artistic ladies who like ladies wrestling thing...all shown in close up on the new large high def screens inside the pitch and on all the monitors inside in the bar areas...please.

Wasn't one of the Stranglers from Sussex?

Great band but not a stadium headliner in their own right though.

Dave Greenfield the keyboard player came from Brighton.

On reflection I am not convinced they will have a gig as part of the ramp up events. If they do it will need to be some middle of the road act where the audience will tolerate just being seated in the main stands. My reasoning being that the club will not want to put any form of covering on the grass so near to start of season.

Shame we're only allowed one a year under the planning conditions but perhaps that can be revisited later.

Thought the Aussie bloke at the presentation said 2 a year to start with, but if it goes as well as they anticipate, they will try to get permission for more.
