I tried watching American Football once - I think it was the Super Bowl. Literally unwatchable. They’d spend 5 minutes lining up, then a man would throw the ball to the quarterback, another man would catch it - then they’d all jump up and down celebrating and chest bumping as if they’d just won the lottery.

Then it would cut away to an advert, then they’d come up and the commentators/pundits would spout a load of old shit for 20 seconds, then an another advert…

Absolutely unbearable
I think of American Football as being like a game of "soccer" entirely made up of free kicks.

The European Court of Justice has decided that FIFA and UEFA’s decision to block the European Super League is against EU competition law and - wait for it - ‘freedom to provide services’.
The ECJ has just ruled that capitalism has the ‘freedom’ to destroy the hopes and dreams of the fans who make football what it is. They have handed it over piecemeal as a meaningless plaything in the hands of the oligarchs, slave states and hedge funds who run most of our top clubs.
We, the fans, must rise up across Europe if this scheme is resurrected and make it clear, by words and actions, that it will not be implemented and not destroy our game.
As we did at Brighton.
Direct action works.

And men in stupid black and white clothing throwing rags on the ground after the bundle.

PSG have now told them to **** off (again).
Qatari owners miffed at the Saudis muscling in?

If big clubs keep pulling out it could collapse faster than the last one did.

Okay. That's NOT football/soccer though. You do realize that? You are talking about a completely different sport with it's own rhythms.

We were talking about commercialisation of live sport in international markets.

Sadly if Saudis, Qataris or any other oil rich gulf states get involved it will probably happen with clubs being offered silly money to take part.

would Albion fans support a super league? I dont but if it removed VAR im listening!
We wouldn't be invited to join it.

But I admire the low bar you appear to apply to changing your stance and accepting venality and corruption.

That said, it is hard to take seriously the opinion of someone who can't punctuate.

I've been waiting for this - the opinion of the Albion fan who nobody agrees with about anything.

Because he's never posted anything that isn't shit.
Yes indeed. My thoughts too, albeit your assessment is more succinct than mine.

Details?

I am impressed by the speed the new super league has been set up and populated, give that it didn't have the approval to exist yesterday.

Is there some sort of off-the-shelf superleague that can be popped into existence whenever the opportunity arises, rather like a jelly mold?
