If it's just to make it look full just pull multi coloured covers over the seats. Job done.

Embarrassing from the club again.

Presumably they've had to have a meeting to think this is a good idea. Probably from the same people behind Albion TM FC

Again? When was the last time the club did some something embarrassing in your opinion?

And who exactly is embarrassed by the fact that they’re trying something that might be a bit of a laugh and raises a few extra quid for charity?

I saw another club erect large TV panels and had a Zoom crowd, I'd be more interested in doing something like that. Plus, how strictly are they vetting the pictures? Last thing you want is another episode like Walkers Crisps had, with pictures of Fred West and Harold Shipman being added to adverts with Gary Lineker.

I just remembered why I haven't been on here for ages, so many who just love to moan. If it helps the club you are supposed to support and local charities and even if only adds 1% to our players feeling we are behind them then I'm all for it.

Last week - when the story broke The Club are trying to trademark a 2,000 year old word.

I am, especially when the players have sat at home, given relatively nothing for doing no work and the club still asks for more money from fans.

No wonder we no longer have a season ticket waiting list.

That's a business decision. Whether you agree with it or not, it's hardly an embarrassment that they're trying to trademark the name.

What do you expect the players to be doing while we're all supposed to be staying home? None of them have been caught arranging escorts like Kyle Walker. Our players seem to do a lot for charity and good causes during normal times - as do players from most professional clubs, to be fair.

Do we not have a ST waiting list? It was over 8000 back in February. If we don't have one, I'd guess that the fact that we're unlikely to be able to watch a game at the Amex until at least January may have something to do with that.

Good for you OZ, send your photo and 20 notes to the club and I will wave to your cardboard cutout, IF the tv cameras zoom all the way to the East Upper. :)

Why are you arsed about it? If you don't want to get involved don't.

We're just copying Borussia Monchengladbach and whoever else has done the same thing + charged for it

Is anyone really considering this? I don't see the appeal but I guess the club would've put some feelers out and deemed there to be enough interest to do this before going public.

The response to that news simply exposed that most people know jack shit about trademarks.

Specifically the fact that, by registering a trademark, a company aims to restrict the use and misuse of word(s) in a specific area of buisness (eg football), and not claim 'ownership' of a word in general use.

And that the age of a word is completely and utterly irrelevant.
