According to today's Argus the other three stands will be named after sponsors but the North Stand will be just that in rememberance of the Goldstone days.

I dont remember all that much chatting in the original though.
If that's true, it's an excellent decision by the club.
Will they build an old school stinky brick toilet as well?
i still have some old urinal cakes from the last game at the goldstone, hoping to release them into the falmer urinals![]()
But they were NEVER enough to disguise the smell of years-old rank, stale PISS

Scrape together a couple of hundred grand and I'm sure something could be arranged.I don't care too much what any of them are called as long as the don't use the words 'Falmer' or 'Lewes' are used. The 'Up Yours Nimbies' stand would be nice.
It actually holds 2688 fans which is over 1000 more than Withdean's North Stand, fact fans. Without missing the tone of the above post, I can't imagine that in latter days, the North Stand at the Goldstone held much more given that the capacity for the Doncaster game was only around 11500. Can't find stats on the net - anyone know what the capacity was? I would plump for around 3500-4000 tops.Is this really a fitting tribute to the Goldstone's finest stand?!?... seeing as the north stand at Falmer holds about 80 people! Spin the ground round on its axis and have the West facing north and we're there.
