six feet beneath the moon...
this guy released what, in my view, was the best electronic album of the year last year, and has now released this absolutely mindbending new mix of one of the songs on it. fantastic artist, who also happens to have a PhD in neuroscience

No idea if anyone's mentioned any of his work here before, but here's some of his other work. some or his earlier stuff is very jazz/chill influenced:

and some more ravey stuff, like the track originally attached:

Here we are back again sharing some belters.

This one was released yesterday, on a fantastic new album called Foals Collected Reworks Vol.1 all remixes of recent foals productions. This one, by one of my favourite producers and dj's, Hot Since 82 is an absolute jive a thon.

Sounds alright, don't know if Colonel Tom will lose sleep, though

Not for me I'm afraid on those! What genre would you say that was though?

Just an old git being down with the kids....its sick, innit:Dp
This is Colonel Tom, the new pick of the pops, having a rave, btw

This may be a bit too 80's rudimentary sythn sound, for the connoisseurs in this thread, but I find this track beautifully mesmeric.

I don't think I'd ever heard it before, but the trusty YouTube algorithm suggested it for me and hit the spot .

Nothing up with that, and you're right about the 80's phil spector hangover, but I would have listened then for sure.
I can't get my head round just how much great stuff is out there, and how niche it must be, therefore. -and by implication how the likes of some bands in the 70's made so much money, for sometimes for forgetble pap, once every couple of years.

Big thumbsup for the synthwave post, Westy. I'm, all over that at the mo. Mate of a mate IS 'Timecop 1983' :lolol:

I'll deflect however to a related genre....all electronic and I can dance to it.

Is that what used to get played at Moon Dust Events ?

One of my clients was one of the Big DJs at those Events for years.

His stuff is nothing like that. In fact I think stuff he plays is rubbish but others seem to love it.

That track is OK but not for a Rave or party I wouldn't have thought

I only found this track today, I did a wiki on M.O.O.N. and found nowt about them. There seems to be countless thousand of electronic music artists over the last 40 years, I’m finding more at will on YouTube, most a bit too boring for me.

I love synth music of widely differing tempo. This track is more of a chilling out, meditating ilk for me. Whilst there are so many wonderful choices to dance to such as Chicane, Age of Love, Faithless, Sparks, N-Trance, The Flirts, Space Brothers.
