FFS it is a marathon not a sprint, if this does not hit around 20p when the sale goes down I'll admit defeat.

Bozza as an investor a very poor comment :)

BTW more shares changing hands on a daily basis, this will fly

Are you Glover in disguise?

This doesn't include todays position of -7.2% (12.75p)

Tipped at 17p. Note that was 17p mid, so was 17.25p to buy.

Today I note we are at 13.5p, or 13.25p to sell.

So only a 23% loss since this hot hot hot tip.

I'd have thought the implication in my post would have been able to tell you that but, in case it didn't, it's when someone gives advice that will benefit them as they are doing the opposite - usually in gambling. Happens a lot on betting exchanges.

please note: I'm NOT saying playing the stock market is GAMBLING (I couldn't care less what it's classified as!), it is just where the word is ramping is usually used :)

Missed this thread last time round. Quality, Mr Hut you've made yourself look more of a plum than you did over the West Ham tickets!!

Because they are going cheap! Acquisition of Bulldog and restructuring of them was very unsuccessful, so much so Bulldog have just left their plush Red Lion Square offices last week (I know because I work next door).

Hasslehoff promotion MASSIVELY unsuccessful and believe you me they spent a pretty penny on it!

No risk?!? Nailed on!?!?

Looks like it

I BET you don't make a significant return on your investment.

Care to put a score on it Beachy?

Pipex Charts

From the Sunday Telegraph March 18th

'We first advised readers to look at pipex (13.5p), the UK's sixth largest broadband supplier, in May 2004 when the shares were changing hands at 9p.

Three years later, after several acquisitions and a cheeky advertising campaign fronted by Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, the value of our holding has increased by about 50 per cent.

But there could be further upside. pipex is for sale, with UBS managing the process. Analysts estimate a sale price of between 16p and 22p with BSkyB, BT, Carphone Warehouse, France Telecom and Tiscali all considered potential buyers.

Aside from cheap calls and broadband, pipex has a licence to run a national wireless broadband network. The joint venture with Intel is still at trial stage but is likely to interest BT, which is trying to reclaim a piece of the mobile telephony market.

A deal could be weeks away. There is speculation that talks are in advanced stages with one bidder and UBS has come on board to flush out rival offers.

Should the sale drag on, investment bank Bryan, Garnier & Co has set a target price of 25.7p. pipex has strong backing from analysts, and is continuing to benefit from the Hoff's pulling power.

But a sale is likely sooner or later - hold out for the deal.'

LONDON (AFX) - Virgin Media and BT have emerged as surprise frontrunners for broadband provider pipex Communications PLC, which put itself up for sale last week, reports the Telegraph, without citing sources.
