Does his majesty still think this tyrant is worthy of a state visit? I doubt it tbh. I can't think that anyone else does now, if anyone ever did.

I get why it was offered, Starmer in the White House trying to woo him.. but he's too far gone now...
Since when were criminals and persecutors with such disregard for human rights and disrespect for, well, anything afforded such a privilege.
I think the protests here will, and probably should start soon...

He's not welcome
This. KC3 and Starmer need to read the room. He is not welcome here. Two reasons:

1) He couldn't behave last time. Walking in front of the old Queen and touching Her Majesty's person

2) He is a certifiable lunatic

If they ignore the feelings and wishes of the people of the UK their personal standing and popularity will be significantly diminished and I hope there will be hundreds of thousands protesting on the streets.

San Fran/La are in an awful condition. Homelessness/crime/drug use

California is a rather large area, parts of it are lovely, the drive up the pacific coast is beautiful
The governor of California, Gavin Newsom, is defending the peaceful protests. The mayor of LA Karen Bass has called a curfew between 8pm to 6am which is being complied with.
Oklahoma has a worse crime rate as does Alabama, which has three times the homicide rate of California.

Trump has sent in the Marines, with no food, no water, and no base. They are sleeping on a cement floor.

He is trying to instigate trouble where there is none, but upping the ante with lies as is Stephen Miller. They want trouble so they can bring in Martial Law, but LA is not playing ball, for now.

Trump has had the invite. Nobody said when.

In contrast, Zelenskyy, had an invite and was in Britain the following week.

But why has he had the invite? Traditionally and historically you only get one. I know Starmer has been sucking up to Trump but the State visit invite is issued by the King. He could make a huge statement, the bigliest, bestliest statement the world has ever seen by withdrawing the invite on behalf of his people.

Musk starting to see his dollars running out of his bank accounts does something un-Trump-like.

Elon Musk regrets Donald Trump attacks: "went too far"

Elon Musk said he regretted some of his posts about President Donald Trump after their recent public feud, which saw the Tesla CEO call for the latter's impeachment and say that he featured in files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex offender.

I think that would be counterproductive. Think about it. Trump is a toddler demanding it NOW. Making him wait and wait and wait is a better way.

Unfortunately, if he does come on the state visit I'm guessing the fans of Reform will be the ones lining the streets!!!

SF has a shocking divide between the "silicon valley" haves and have nots, I found it hideous the last time I was there. There are 1000 billionaires in the USA hording the nations wealth and its only going to get worse.

That aside CA National Parks are truly prestine wilderness (at least for now) and are great if you can escape the hordes.

Yeah, agreed, I head that way a couple of times a year and it seems to get worse every time, was reading how some of the "haves" are now moving out as well.

Again agreed, the drive from SFO down to Vegas through the parks is amazing.

19 out of the top 50 cities with the highest crime rates are in California, most of those are based in/around LA and SFO

Arizona is the next with 7

I lived in St Louis for a bit, which is the worst of the worst and I did not feel unsafe at all when compared to LA/SFO

My quote is from the Governor and from Professor Heather Cox Richardson, who is doing daily updates on Facebook. She is a renowned professor of history at Boston university.

Maybe no bad thing - it will show more people what a nasty bunch of ****s they are, and where (or to who) their allegiances really lie.

I'll be in Chicago (on a small break) lending my voice to the peaceful protestors doing my constitutional right and constitutional obligation.

Another rally was held in Daley Plaza Monday to denounce the arrests and President Trump’s new travel ban on a dozen mostly African and Middle Eastern countries.

It won't be all fun and games.

A driver plowed into a group of protesters Tuesday in the Loop, striking at least one pedestrian, as thousands marched through downtown Chicago protesting the Trump administration’s ongoing immigration raids.

The driver was stuck between police vehicles on State Street. Officers wanted to guide her away from the crowd and asked her to turn right on Monroe Street, but she ignored their orders and turned left, speeding into the crowd.
