Captain Hindsight
All this just makes the club a complete laughing stock, Palace are pissing themselves, I will be cancelling my season ticket first thing in the morning.
Good. Cheerio

Well I've got to be honest. This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time!!
If my local amateur team behaved like this I would be incredibly embarassed... let alone a 'professional' club.
If I'm honest, I think it's a good thing for your club. Poyet is a to***r of the highest calibre, and I'm sure you'll find a better manager in the long run.
And before you all get feisty, can I just say that (like most Saints fans) I have little soft spot for Brighton. You're like a little kid brother who you like to tease but hope that one day you might eventually grow up to be as good as us.
Good luck for your future.

He has just said he wants to speak to the players and get back to managing us next season....... Slightly different to the shit he came out with after the Palace game.
You're no better. Two words. Nigel Adkins. Now fuc off back to hole you crawled out from.
I agree its a massive PR risk. But I also think it was deliberate to announce it, because they know he is loose tongued, and hoped that he will say something. I think the point is to allow Gus enough rope to hang himself so to speak.I couldn't care less whether Gus gets another job or not, if the club have decided for whatever reason they don't want him as manager anymore, well we have to accept it and his future is no longer our business.
My point is, if the timing of the announcement was deliberate, somebody is taking a massive PR risk at best. If it wasn't and was completely innocent, then somebody has been negligent about what reaction there would be.
If they believe Gus is capable of being loose-tongued and mouthy, they would have known what was going to happen, and my point is why do that? It's running the risk of dragging our club thought the mud. But you say it's not an over-reaction it was deliberate, what's the point?
And you've kept saying that now Gus is gone we are going to go up. The club statement says that we will be hiring an interim manager pending an appeal. So I will ask you again, what part of that situation is good, or makes us better or stronger going into the new season?
Ha ha ha ha !! Your lot were all over our board after Adkins! it's called banter fella... if you can't handle it then try hockey instead .
Much love from the Premier League.
Good night sweetheart
xxxxx
You'll be our fierce rivals when Portsmouth get liquidated in the Conference South in a couple of years.![]()
I'm not going to get feisty. I'll ask you two questions. Why did Brighton not just sack Gus Poyet as many clubs sack their manager? Why go through all this hassle if there was not a lot more to it than a simple sacking??Well I've got to be honest. This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time!!

The interim manager is only interim pending appeal and is just procedure. I beleive if Poyet wins an appeal we will just sack him and pay him off, but I would like to think the club are fairly certain over what they are doing.
I think the reason the club are doing this, and have from day one, is that they will end up suing Poyet for the terms in his contract. We haven't just sacked him, we have sacked him for breach of contract., I think that's important.
I also think we will be stronger next season, as I thinK poyet is very average and his lack of tactical awareness was shown up more and more last season, and I genuinely think he has hit the roof as a manager, and we need someone more tactically aware than he was. Yes, as times the football under Gus was breath taking. But he did not have the ability to alter games to any extent IMO, as was shown glaring against the scum in his last game. If we sign Upson, a new left back and maybe one or two more, then with the right manager I feel we have a squad to storm this division as I feel we did last year. Thats why I feel we are such a good position now. Come back at the end of August and if our squad is weak, I will agree the club have ****ed up. But I feel as positive as I have done since September 2011, that this club is moving in very much the right direction, and with Poyet gone, I feel its as if someone has taken the breaks off!!
Are you YodaOK - so certain are you.
You really think that Poyet would lie on TV which could be easily proved wrong by an email, text or call shown by the club which would prove Gus a liar and end his managerial career? Really?
Oh jesus christ, how fickle and dramatic. How does this make the club a laughing stock? - The statement was before the show.

I agree it's over dramatic. It's not an uncommon reaction unfortunately though, I've had a few mates say similar things to me over the last few weeks. Don't need those types of fans.
Are you YodaWhat odds you giving?
Nope. 75 pts IMO will get us in the play offs. I think I'd rather the 5-1 William Hills offer to get promoted. No odds. £50 to REMF says we won't get to 75 points this coming season.
