I booed, hate them with a passion. All stems back to the early 80's when they would throw bags of piss and shit at away fans on the way to Anfield....horrible fans...

Imagine Champions Liverpool going to Man Utd just after they had won the league, do you think the United fans would have given them a standing ovation? ???
But do you you want to be compared to MUFC fans ? Though in reality there were will be plenty of ok ones .

Not sure why people were booing. If it's to create an intimidating atmosphere then we need to do that every game and have the buy in from the club i.e. make the away end a miserable place to go, no beer etc etc. It won't happen.

I thought the booing was unnecessary, we have had 3 great games of football against them this season , don't need to applaud either (i didn't). I know some of you remember the away days in 70s/80s but that could probably apply to many clubs including us. Only been to Liverpool 3 times and was quite happy talking to their fans in the pub.

The thought of Liverpool with their vast experience of operating in hostile environments being in any way intimidated by our nicey nicey family-friendly customer base is hilarious to me :lolol:

When did the whole guard of honour thing become a thing? I’m sure it didn’t happen when I was growing up. Stiff handshake and get on with it.
Well it certainly didn't happen in 2011 at Withdean when we had won L1 and the scummy Southampton side refused to acknowledge our achievement with a guard of honour.

If its going to be a "thing" have ONE guard of honour at HOME.

Do stop and think before you type...
WTF are you going on about? Read your post. You asked the question did we? If you were there it was f***ing obvious that we (some of our fans) did.

Stop before tap your keyboard and think, your f***ing self

I could have named many teams where home fans wouldn’t be applauding an away team because they had won the league a few weeks back.
I wasn’t comparing us at all, just saying it wouldn’t happen.

MK "Dons"?
I once sat in WSL for an evening LC game where the guy next to me was spouting the view that original Wimbledon fans who went with supporting MK Dons were better supporters than Wimbledon fans who supported AFC Wimbledon.

I quizzed his reasons for that view and he was implacably of the opinion that Wimbledon who went with MK were the good guys (for sticking with their hi-jacked club) whereas Wimbledon who went with AFC were the bad guys.

I have never met anyone before or since that night who shared that view.
