I booed, hate them with a passion. All stems back to the early 80's when they would throw bags of piss and shit at away fans on the way to Anfield....horrible fans...

Not sure why people were booing. If it's to create an intimidating atmosphere then we need to do that every game and have the buy in from the club i.e. make the away end a miserable place to go, no beer etc etc. It won't happen.

I thought the booing was unnecessary, we have had 3 great games of football against them this season , don't need to applaud either (i didn't). I know some of you remember the away days in 70s/80s but that could probably apply to many clubs including us. Only been to Liverpool 3 times and was quite happy talking to their fans in the pub.

The thought of Liverpool with their vast experience of operating in hostile environments being in any way intimidated by our nicey nicey family-friendly customer base is hilarious to me

When did the whole guard of honour thing become a thing? I’m sure it didn’t happen when I was growing up. Stiff handshake and get on with it.

Well it certainly didn't happen in 2011 at Withdean when we had won L1 and the scummy Southampton side refused to acknowledge our achievement with a guard of honour.

If its going to be a "thing" have ONE guard of honour at HOME.

I’d much rather see a passionate, charged home atmosphere, Blokes letting off a bit of steam after a tough week, giving it to the away fans, and trying to rattle the opposition.

Must be having a tough week to need that when the games being played on a Monday.
