...the treatment of Wilkins is an utter SHAMBOLIC disgrace.

A POPULAR former player who has done a CRACKING job as boss AND developed some of the best young players this club has EVER seen and he gets the boot like this?

SCREAMS of a PR exercise to try and get a few more bums on seats next season.

I for one will be sending a letter to the club tomorrow requesting my season ticket application be cancelled.

think DK really has to come up with something good, been behind him all the way but to treat someone like this is very hard to take. Will wait for the hard facts to come out before making judgment though

Agree apart from the last bit and I am sure you will not do this when you have calmed down a bit by the morning.

What concerns me is a knee jerk reaction here (again) and also the new appointment is hardly one with a great management track record since leaving us.

Almost a PR exercise to perhaps get more bums on seats.

DK clearly knew this was happening so very two faced thank you to Wilkins in the final program of the season last Saturday.

Time will tell if this is a good appointment but could prove very costly as if Adams does not deliver next season he will get good compensation.

I thought this was a club with principles. Seems not.

Richie - there are no principles in football and you should know this and I understand your reaction but have a sleep on it before you actually send in that letter.

Right here, right now
I have no other emotion than delight at Mickey's return! Football is a cutthroat business and sometimes tough decisions have to be made. Deano has done well this season but maybe he has peaked?

If we had been more consistent, maybe we would be looking forward to another couple of matches this season or even looking forward to Championship football next season.

How many of the people happily glossing over the treatment of Wilkins were MOANING to the extreme a few days ago at the treatment of Hart, Mayo and Butters.

Knight is taking this club BACKWARDS. Time to go Dick.

DK let DW take the meetings telling players they weren't wanted next season.

Sorry, but regardless of the rights and wrongs of the decision DK should feel slightly ashamed about that.

Exactly. However much of a shock this decision has not been made overnight but he still let Wilkins face the players and thus get the majority of the criticism and fall-out from released players etc.

Similar behaviour to when Knight went missing for WEEKS on end when McGhee was under mounting pressure.

Difference is Mayo, Hart & Butters still had something to offer in their role in most peoples opinions. Wilkins didn't.

Notice the "In their role" bit.
