Not blind faith. As I said, 'not plugged into the world', and made some assumptions which turned out not to be true.

Still, if you're going to put 2 and 2 together, you come up with the exact answer.

I know EXACTLY what a pain in the arse Dick can be, so don't throw your meaningless empty gestures on me.

Oh dear another of the inner circle speaks, what tosh.

But I forgot, it is popular to attack Dick Knight now and if you don't you must automatically be an idiot who agrees with everything the club says.

:bla::bla: Yes, only these silly sheep who attack dick take this attitude. :shootself

Anyone who's looked at any popular thread on here discussing anything from Dick Knight, dean wilkins, micky adams, our position, our form, andy naylor, etc. will leave with the idea that everyone is an idiot, because people who support DK will insist people who don't are idiots and vice versa, and that plays out across all topics. Support MA you're an idiot for ignoring our form. Don't support MA? You're an idiot for ignoring our history, and being so fickle...

When will people realise either accusing people of being idiots, or accusing other people of calling others idiots for disagreeing, doesn't strengthen your position or weaken others'.

This should be at the front door of NSC.

But do you notice that is usually the same ones who start the name calling. And its usually the ones with nothing at all to add to a debate, that start this type of bullshit.

You soon pick these posters out, and move onto the the next comment.

Would you care to elaborate how that relates to my point of Dick Knight not using the royal 'we', or stabbing managers in the back?

Yes. IMHO you are worrying about a minor point. Mr Knight might be a loud-mouthed , arrogant egotistical arsehole. Personally I don't give a f*** if he is anyway as long as he has the club's interests at heart.

I do know that Liam Brady had a hell of a time finding people with money who were up for saving the Albion. As regards use of language and royal "we"s, we are in the world of football FFS.

I should clarify, I am not 'anti-knight' but I am not as enamoured with him as I used to be.

In the world of football it is largely 'we'. I say "we won today". Most fans say "our manager". In football, it is common practice for most people to say 'we'. Dick is saying 'I' and 'my', that concerns me, when he is part of a board, part of a club. It is not his personal plaything, and given how many people he work with, how it was a consortium that took over, that this is a club that revels in its community award, to act like it is his alone is wrong.

I think only Roman Abramovich can get away with saying 'my/I'.

You're right it is a small thing, but it unsettles me.

As the title says, is he fit for the job?

Knowing as I did that Adams was leaving last week, it's funny to listen to Dicks Interview (BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | B | Brighton | Brighton part company with Adams) . Listen to the interview, Harty backs him in a corner.

He told us that Wilkins and Chapman were offered jobs at the club, when they weren't. This man no longer appears to speak the total truth, and as people find out, if you lie enough, soon enough it'll catch up with you.

From his own mouth, he says he had a meeting on Friday to discuss the weekends game and ended up "sacking"(call it what you will) him. Sacks the man who a few hours earlier told everyone he would not quit, as it would send the wrong signals to the players. So one of them wasn't telling the truth.

Bearing in mind the title thread, is a chairman who it would appear sacks a manager in a meeting that wasn't about the managers future, being fit for the job?

Talk about acting on impulse.

Or has Dick egos finally caught up with him, and is he struggling to cover over his tracks?

Has the interview been changed? Who says he acted on impulse? When does he say he sacked him? When does he mention Wilkins or Chapman?

There was a meeting which included a discussion of the league position. I imagine (not being in any inner circle I can't boast of my superior knowledge to anyone else) that the Chairman had been discussing with the rest of the board before the meeting something along the lines of "if Micky offers to go , let him" and when the discussion reached that point, that was the outcome. I (like many others) have no idea when the meeting concluded and have no way of knowing why the decision to announce was made at 10:30 (just guessing it might have been after the team were told when they met to travel to Millwall) but what difference could it possibly have made to announce at 6pm on Friday?
