Just finished watching the Despatches documentary about Islam.
I found it disturbing that people have views like this.
If the people on this documentary are found to be breaking any British law then they should be prosecuted.
I would like to point out that I would say the above about anyone who has those sort of views regardless of their religion or colour.
Extremists are dangerous.
Also it seems that we have rather a large problem in Saudia Arabia, as it seems that this form of extremism is being exported from there.
Trouble is we will turn a blind eye to it as Saudia is good for our economy.

The trouble is,the more we expose it the more we drive it underground.1.7 million muslims live here in the UK.200,000 sympethise with the 7/7 bombers in a recent poll.Thats alot of extreamists.I also believe this is just the tip of the iceburg. It's a massive problem which needs to be clamped down on straight away. These clerics should be banged up and then deported end of

What the poll ACTUALLY asked was

Do you think the bombing attacks in London on July 7 were justified or not ?

On balance justified: 6%
On balance not justified: 1%
Not justified at all: 77%
Don't know: 6%

Whether or not you think the attacks were justified, do you personally have any sympathy with the feelings and motives of those who carried out the attcks ?

Yes, a lot: 13%
Yes, a little: 11%
No, not much: 16%
No, none at all: 55%
Don't know: 6%

Whether or not you have any sympathy with the feelings of those who carried out the attacks, do you think you understand why some people behave in that way?

Yes, I think I can understand: 56%

No, I can't understand how anyone could behave like that: 39%

Don't know: 4%

Just quoting the POLL itself, that's all.

Howam I twisting anything - you added 70,000 :lolol:

Here's another question:

How loyal would you say you personally feel towards Britain

Very Loyal: 48%
Fairly Loyal: 33%
Not very loyal: 6%
Not at all loyal: 10%
Don't know: 4%

.. and some more.

How much responsibility do you think Muslims should now take on for preventing such crimes and bringing to justice those who commit them ?

A great deal of responsibility: 32%
Some responsibility: 34%
Not much: 10%
None at all: 14%
Don't know:4%

oooh, here's an interesting one.

If you believed than an imam or other religious perdion was trying to radicalise young muslims by preaching hatred against the West, who would you tell.

A member of you family: 32%
A close friend: 26%
The police: 47%
The local council: 20%
Someone else:18%
No one: 10%
Don't know: 13%

and another

Do you personally think that people who see something in the community that makes them feel suspicious have a duty to go to the police ?

Yes: 70%
No: 14%
Don't know: 16%

I don't think that's a particularly relevant question in the big scheme of things.

Other responses are more worrying.

What the poll shows is there is a minority who support the violence, but also a majority who not only disagree with them, are willing to report them to the police or the council.

In conclusion it is idiotic to think that all muslims think the same and can be grouped together as a single threatening mass.

There's another interesting question which I can't be bothered to quote. It basically asks would your friends report someone to the police ?

The results of this are very different from the "would you question" and shows that even muslims think other muslims are less likely to report things to the police than in reality they actually are.

Perhaps the moral panic is getting to them to ?

Of course you'd know this because you've obviously studied the questionaire in depth.

I could only remember vague figures as this poll was done last year.At least we both agree that there is far to many muslims who support violence which is disturbing to say the least.Keep interacting with me,I might just convert you to the RIGHT side;)

It is you that is twisting it I think?

"The feelings and motives" of the bombers were reported by many in the media to be opposition to the Iraq war. You can have every sympathy with that but not with their subsequent ACTIONS, which you could deplore.

That is the key poll finding.

Algie and his BNP mates start banging up a few loudmouth but harmless clerics and deporting them back to (?? Bradford??), then watch those figures reverse.

Then extremists then gain loads of recruits and the cover of secrecy inside their community to carry out far more attacks in Britain.

That's BNP security policy for you :dunce: :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

Indeed - those figures would be broadly similar to first and second generation Irish in Britain. That's me deported back to Kilburn then.
