Derby interested in Lua Lua

LuaLua is a game changer. He's unbelievably quick, direct and has a vicious shot.

If he could do all of that AND cross like Beckham, AND defend like Moore - he's be playing for Barcelona, not Brighton. He's a really useful player to have on the books as he terrifies full backs and his introduction can turn a game on its head. Give the kid a break.

A lot of fans from other clubs can't understand why we don't play him more often, and I tend to agree with them. If he has a bad 10 minutes he gets subbed and doesn't reappear for 3 weeks.

He will need to learn that when you get the ball you don't need to stop, wait for the defender to catch up, just so you can go past him. If you're in the clear just run!

Nine times out of ten he has to stop and wait, not for the defender to catch up with him but our players! - There's no point crossing the ball if nobody is there.

He can beat his man and have a shot at goal himself. He's got a hefty boot and can score from outside of the area with ease.

That has kind of one of Lua Lua's problem though he doesn't appear to be able to regulate the power of his shot it's either no shot or full power with nothing in between.

I really do hope he stays with us this season as I'd be interested to see what Hyypia gets out of him. When he's on form he does show some genuine class (& does seem to be one the few players who is happy to take someone on when needed)

If a manger/coach can consistently bring the best out of him I'm not sure I'd want to be on the recieving end of KLL

Does make me laugh, people suggesting we should get rid of LuaLua yet moaning that we have no players.

He is an entertaining player. You need them to keep a 20,000+ crowd happy. There's only so many sideways passing players a team can get away with

What we need to see more of is the instinctive LuaLua - the one who runs at Nottingham Forest, beats two men, gives the ball wide to CMS who sticks it on Ulloa's head.

What we need in moderation is the LuaLua that stops play so he can skin the full back. If we're playing with only 1 man in the box we can't afford to let men get back and spoil a counter.

I do find it odd that he rarely takes free kicks though, given he's scored a fair few for us. Andrews seemed to get them all last year.

when you play on the side of your weaker foot
to make the most of cutting in
you need close control and an instep finish out of keepers reach
like robben or those two goals Messi scored
if not you tend to run into the other defenders
how many has kaz scored in the CHampionship?
one of his goals last year was from an inswinging cross
which missed everybody but he never tries such a shot
always love to watch kaz but it is in the wide attacking area where
we need to improve

Curlers are a bit wayward, not as good as Buckley.

There was one game I watched last season, sorry, I can't remember who against, but Kaz came off the bench with about 15 minutes remaining, he was fouled 4 times during that spell, I know this theory isn't perfect but that would be 24 times during a 90 minute game!

When players are facing a player like kaz, you either have the guile to keep them quiet, like Wayne Bridge did with Zaha, or you slow them down by any means possible I'm afraid.

Kaz may not be happy with being a super-sub, but I really don't think it matters who he plays for, thats all hes going to be unless he wants to be injured more, he's going to face defenders that don't want to have to chase shadows for 90 minutes.

Wayne Bridge went missing for two Zaha goals in the play off semis..not a good example. :D
