We've also lost top spot in the average attendances.
Sheffield Wednesday's average is now 21 better than ours :lolol: On a positive note our average is roughly 10,000 more than what they get at Smellhurst

I don't give a shit. All the crap that I've been through as a supporter over the last 35 years and now we have a brand new stadium, a quality manager, a board of directors who care and some of the best fans in the world.
Stick your whining statistics up your arse!

quote of the weekend.

And we have taken 1 point in our last three home games, two of them against piss poor teams(so the league, which you quote tells us) and with the exception of three games, we simply can't score goals, or ever come from behind.

And for 2 of them we were without our main striker and he was only just returning from injury in the other game.

We also played 2 very defensive sides who did all they could to limit our chances (Birmingham and Ipswich) by putting lots of players behind the ball, so of course it's going to be hard to break them down. They were fearful of our threat in front of goal
as backed up by the stats here http://experimental361.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/experimental-361-the-first-10-games1.pdf

You can use statistics to show whatever you want

In the last 3 home games we scored 1 goal at an average of 0.33 goals per game
In the last 5 home games we scored 9 goals at an average of 1.8 goals per game

Positive note.......just?

If you compare the matches played against the same teams at the same locations from last season, taking out Sheff. Wed who obviously weren't in the Div. last year, we have conceeded 1 less goal and have 1 more point than from these 10 games!

2011-12 Pld 10 W3 D5 L2 F11 A 7 Pts 14 Home Pld 5 W2 D3 L0 F9 A4 Pts 9 Away Pld 5 W1 D2 L2 F2 A3 Pts 5

Exactly. Can't be bothered with NSC at the moment, so many whingeing fuckwits on here.

Mmm, my sentiments entirely - The likes of Burns and his whining Mary's really are ruining this board. They whinge and moan after 4 games without a win, bang their anti-Poyet drum, and chastise anybody who doesn't agree with them, and dress it up as a 'debate and opinion'.

f*** the stats, start worrying when we start tumbling towards the bottom 6, which we are not even vlose to yet.

Home
+0 - Barnsley, Same as last season
-1 - Birmingham, 1pt less than last season
+0 - Cardiff, Same as last season
-2 - Ipswich, two points less than last season
-1 - Middlesbrough, 1pt less than last season

Sheff Wed - did not play last season

Away
Burnley
+3 - Burnley, three points better than last season
-2 - Derby, two points worse
-1 - Hull, one point less
+0 - Leicester same as last season
+2 - Millwall two points better
+3 - Watford three points better than last season

0-1+0-2-1+3-2-1+0+2+3 = +1

On a direct fixture comparison, we are still one point better off than last season.

Saturday evening 5% of our points came from teams in the top half. This morning, 11%.

8 of our 24 points have come against teams currently in the top half of the table. 6 of our 16 games have been against teams in the top 12, seems to be a reasonable return, imo.

That statistic is pointless.... Had Burnley, Barnsley and Watford beaten us they would all be top half.

But they didn't.

We are now 4 points better off than after 17 games last season.
On a fixture basis we are 2 points better off than last season omitting promoted/relegated sides, or 5 points better off than last season if you switch them
(Reading/Bolton; Southampton/Blackburn; West Ham/Wolves; Portsmouth/Charlton; Coventry/Sheff Wed; Doncaster/Hudderfield)

We have played 8 of the top 12 (47% of our games)
We have won 11 of our 27 points against teams currently in the top 12. (41% of our points)
We have won 9 points against teams who were in the top 12 when we played them.
We are joint fifth for number of points won against the current top 12 (with B'Burn (from 7 games), B'pool (8), C'ton (9), C'Pal (7), and M'wall (9))
We are joint sixth for points per game against top 12 teams (with B'pool)
