27 Years old. It’s not too late for him to go again.
Very unusual career trajectory.

Hanging out at his ex clubs home games isn’t a good sign though!

If he really wanted to, he could get his career going. For whatever reason it seems he doesn’t want to.

He's not got his head around his f***ed-up up-bringing. It happens.

He was.coming back to fitness and picked up a serious injury in training so is out.
Fair enough. Let’s see what happens when he gets back to fitness. How long does he have on his contract at Everton?

Just in case wikepedia is beyond the reach of dial up internet:

In July 2023, during an interview for Gary Neville's podcast The Overlap, Alli revealed that he had been sexually abused at the age of six, and then started dealing drugs aged eight; he also opened up about having spent a six-week spell in rehab following the end of his loan at Beşiktaş, because of a sleeping pill addiction and mental health issues.

Mopo has to take some of the blame for the injuries as well, which I think had a part in his mental health issues

Rushing him back when he clearly wasn't fit.

He’s out of contract this summer. There have been a few reports that this injury is likely to keep him out for the season so he may never play for Everton again.

Not seen this before. The poor lad. It is no wonder he has lost his way. You never know what's going on in someone's head. He would no doubt forfitted a career as a professional footballer for a nice childhood. ☹️. Glad he went public and had the courage to speak out. Mens mental health still has a stigma attached in some areas unfortunately.

Indeed. He did amazingly well, using his anger to surf his talent as a young player, and as soon as he drew back to minimize the cards, it all seems to have fallen apart. I hope he can come through it.

What makes you say that?
Not the person who posted this, and I don’t agree with a blanket statement like he made. What I would say is that the Spurs documentary didn’t paint him at all in a positive light as a professional. He was rolling his eyes, ignoring instruction from his (multiple title winning) coach and seemed very difficult to work with.

Obviously, he later went public with his previous trauma and subsequent addiction issues which paints his behaviour in a different light.

But from watching that documentary alone you could see the guy wasn’t the best personality to have around.

I remember watching this. Was pretty shocked at what's gone on in the young mans life and you could tell that, even achieving his goal as a (rich) elete footballer, he's very far away from overcoming his demons.

Would be very sad if he doesn't get the help needed in overcoming those demons and straightens out his life, otherwise you could predict that it won't end well. Unfortunately.
