Blackburn paid £8m for Jordan Rhodes who was untried in the Premier and values have gone up since then, so I think that £10m is a realistic price for a striker with his
ability and potential. A team near relegation would pay that as it is a small price to pay to stay in the Premier League with its financial rewards.

Plastic to the core are palace, and thats why they have a little drummer boy. Brighton have always had a top flight support but a lower league team, where as palace always have a lower league support but sometimes a top flight team. Nothing has changed.

Yes Withdean (sold out for 4 or so seasons ) and Gillingham, no ground for over 10 years, plus a 5 year long war between the fans and the club after 8 years of decline before that and still a bigger support than you. Brighton always have had the larger crowds in the division they play in and get bigger gates than Leeds. Palace I'm afraid, cant say the same. No amount of banging a drum and shouting whooa whooa can get over the fact that Brighton are a properly supported club who will get in 27000 for the week before Christmas against Barnsley, but Palace need top flight football to get a gate above 16000 with lots of them in for free with groupon 2 for 1 deals. Palace fans are the ultimate example of the flexible friend, you go missing unless you are in the top flight.
