The club's screwed him over and has encouraged the majority of our fans to screw him over.

You really forget don't you, Gus breached his contract, its been proved in a rigorous disciplinery hearing.....this isn't subjective, there must be something in his contract that he signed and reaped the financial rewards from, that he broke, and it was serious enough to get him sacked.

I am comforted by the lack of another LMA diatribe, I suspect they threw in their two penneth in last week without first hearing what the club had to say, and are now feeling a little shy.

Agree. In the football world at the moment Brighton and Hove Albion are now the bad guys and Gus is the good guy after last night.

On the outside thanks to the media, it looks like we just sacked him for no reason. It looks like someone from the club personally told the BBC. It is very easy for the media to forget about the suspension, forget about the fact the statement from the club was made 19:14pm long before the match had even started.

People only read the headlines, so what we get now is everyone hiding behind their screens, firing more shots at the club and its supporters.

I do hope one day the truth really comes out because in my eyes what Gus did after the palace match was completely unprofessional.

Tommy back-tracked shortly after and claimed he was fishing (Barton style) but agree with you.

So your analogy essentially says that the club teamed up with Gus to create a news-storm  Trust me, the club are spinning just as hard on this one

It's my analogy, so no need to blame others.
It suggests that the people buying Poyet's nonsense were the same that buy the crap sob stories and "drama" on shite reality shows.

hi, is this not a few days old! Its true that I have sympathy for Poyet, but how and where he was fired doesn't come into it for me. Anyway, reality shows are set-up to present the idea of 'conflict' and 'drama' where none exists. In this case both our board and Poyet are waging a very real PR-battle. Thats all, I felt the analogy didn't work.

Shame that its the club that suffers in this battle between the board and ex-manager.

You're wasting your time TSB. He can't seem to understand the clear connection between X-factor style sob stories and POYET's attempt to gain public sympathy last Sunday night on BBC3. Funny how everyone else on this thread thought your analogy was spot on. Some people just love to disagree for the sake of it i.e devil's advocate.

Chars Paris. I take his point re: real conflict v "drama". Perhaps I should have just said Poyet was acting and left it at that.

I hear he's back on telly tonight. Wonder if he'll keep schtum this time.
