Possible but not likely. If fans want more flexibility there is always the 1901 Club option. This would get round your friend’s absent year.

I think it’s about loyalty. It seems to me it's more about misplaced entitlement!!
They’re not going to have empty seats, they go on the exchange. We’re talking about one season where circumstances change - not age, mobility etc. Don’t know about you but my ST is about who I sit with more than anything else - you’re giving that up.Yes, if you can't go to games then don't have a season ticket. What if the club have 5000 people who've had a ST since being a kid but they are now in the 70s or 80s and not so mobile and only get to one or two games a year. Do you think the club should put up with 5000 empty seats most games.
Nobodies saying you can't go to games, just that you need to pick and chose and if you can't commit to the minimum the club state then don't have a season ticket. People's circumstances change!!
What a bizarre take on being a football fan.It seems to me it's more about misplaced entitlement!!
It’s transferable so it could work for your gap-year friend.Possible but not likely.
In terms of season tickets what is loyalty, is it how long you have been going, distance you cover to travel to games, how many Albion tattoos you have - there is no clear definition of loyalty other than the fact a fan supports the Albion. Circumstances change for all so how do you them measure a fans that has been going for 50 years then falls sick so cant make many games in a season to a fan who has been going to all home and away games for 2 seasons?I think it’s about loyalty.
I don't think anybody deserves a season ticket. It's not some kind of Blue Peter badge. They are both loyal supporters so which one deserves a season ticket? I am not expecting an answer I don't think there is one just trying to illustrate we are all loyal in different ways.
To be fair if a player isn’t going to turn up for more than 75% of home games they should let Fabian know by 2pm the day beforeLet’s hope the players don’t get cancelled for not turning up..
(i’ll assume the above has already been posted)
Cant really disagree BUT as far as the club appear concerned loyalty is ££££££££££££££££££££££££££ football at the highest levels is no longer a 'working mans game'.In terms of season tickets what is loyalty, is it how long you have been going, distance you cover to travel to games, how many Albion tattoos you have - there is no clear definition of loyalty other than the fact a fan supports the Albion. You mean, if you're old and grey and not terribly well, then you need to clear off and die quietly so that a younger person can have the ticket?Yes, if you can't go to games then don't have a season ticket. If you have seen some of the shit shows i have since 1975 , Darlington game at gillingham, Northampton away many times when we were shit, Fulham away, pompey 5-1 away. Millwall away, Luton away….the I deserve 100% a season ticket as a thank youI don't think anybody deserves a season ticket. It's not some kind of Blue Peter badge. Buy one or don't buy one![]()
Send them a written apology in advance. On another tack, lauras wedding is on the Saturday of the Newcastle game ( which is now Sunday). I will try to get there driving back from Salisbury, but if I am delayed and can’t make it, will the club send me a shitty email about not being a good fan?
Agree, that was my point really no way of determining who "deserves" as ultimately no one does.I don't think anybody deserves a season ticket. It's not some kind of Blue Peter badge. Buy one or don't buy one![]()
Sadly true in the modern game but not just at Brighton.Cant really disagree BUT as far as the club appear concerned loyalty is ££££££££££££££££££££££££££ football at the highest levels is no longer a 'working mans game'.
Rubbish, only going for 50 years, that's not enough loyalty to deserve a season ticket. If you have seen some of the shit shows i have since 1975 , Darlington game at gillingham, Northampton away many times when we were shit, Fulham away, pompey 5-1 away. Love this as a subterfuge tactic! After Saturday maybe you should all be careful what you wish for? A cancelled season ticket seems quite appealing at the moment
