Can't rememmber the last time I saw one, let alone ate one! Good job I spotted this thread, otherwise I'd never have known!

Anyway. out of respect to those affected, RIP Caramac.

I had my first and last Caramac in 1989 at a school camp in Botley, Hampshire. (it's a bizarrely strong memory for something so inconsequential)

Too sweet for me, even as a 10 yr old.

The camp was notable also for my first taste of Ashes cricket 'banter', with one of the staff being an Aussie chap (on a working holiday I assume now) who took great pleasure in ripping it out of a bunch of English primary school kids (it ended up 3-0 to the Aussies, but it's not a great look for an adult :lolol:)

A bar better in the memory than on the tongue.

we may reminisce but no one is eating that crap in 2023

This is absolutely disastrous news. The no. 1 item on my purchasing list whenever I return to the UK.

I am distraught.

On the subject of ' deceased ' chocolate bars can anyone recall the name of the one that was a bar of milk chocolate with threads of mint crunch running through it? It was around in the 70's and I think it had a blue or possibly green metallic wrapping.
