He gave his kidney for us, what more do you want from him?

He didn't give his kidney away it was an accident and part of his recovery to full fitness was to go on loan and get fitter, not to get a permanent move away from us.
As for what I want, I want decent players who are prepared to fully commit long term to Brighton and hove Albion, things are changing in and around our club as the likes of mr cox and mr Forster have discovered.

Gus has said his ideal squad would have 2 players for every position. I would love Jimmy Mac to stay as cover for Painter. He never got a chance to regain his previous form so I think there's still more to come from him.

Jamie Smith? Naturally left footed full back. Looks a talent. Just been given a professional contract.

Wrong Smith.

James Smith is the left back very small and light weight and similar in play and size as Sam Rents nowhere near 1st team yet but worth a look for the future.

Jamie Smith is the young midfielder we signed who had been released by Palace. Again a little lightweight but worth watching for the future very similar in play to Cox. Just hope he produces more.

Will be sad to see him go. I've heard no reports on his performances at Scunthorpe but before he left he did look a bit hesitant in the tackle, which is completely understandable, but I just wasn't sure if he could ever get over that. Good luck to him whatever he chooses.

Coh, Walt Jabsco wont be happy, someone else starting a Jimmy McNulty thread.

.

He shouldn't be playing left back, in my opinion. To small and lightwight, he's even smaller than Cox! He should be playing left midfield, he looks really good going forward, not as good defending.

El-Abd is poor at LB

Much as I'd love jimmy to stay, I'd honestly prefer someone a bit less talented but 100% committed to our club. In short he was a breath of fresh air when he arrived, got an awful injury, got nearly fit and played a bit, then went out on loan to get match fit then decides he wants away for good. Gonna get some stick on here, but IMHO f*** off jimmy we are going places and we should no longer have anyone involved with the Albion who is not totally committed to the gus bus. You have gone way down in my estimations young man.

He's realised he wont get first team football here week in week out, and can get the same position (back up left back) in a league higher. If Williams (their left back) is off as people say, maybe he feels he has a good chance of starting games there next season. How the hell you can tell him to f*** off, is well and truly beyond me. One of the nicest blokes i have ever met, on more than one occasion, and was genuinely enjoying it down here. He is a profesional footballer, with a family to look after like a large proportion of people on here, maybe he feels living up north closer to home would be better suited, you never know.... maybe he needs to keep his options open as he's been told he's being put up for sale in the summer, its hardly as if he's going to slag off Scunthorpe and leave himself f***ed.
For you say something like that is beyond me. :wozza:

By the seaside in West Somerset
apologies - if Sparrow were to come here (29yo, attacking midfield proven at league 1 level plus championship experience) it would be on a straight deal not as part of a swap for McNulty as I understand Sparrow's contract expires this summer and he hasn't been offered a new one. So if McNulty goes it will have to be for a fee and Scunthorpe are far from cash rich (although they will get 1.5m-2m for Hooper).

This is what McNulty has had to say:

Scunthorpe United | News | Latest News | Latest News | MCNULTY WOULD BE INTERESTED IN MOVE

My feeling is Gus will tell him he wants him to stay and fight for a place whether at left back or left midfield - whether he is the type of player to do that I don't know
