I would agree with that but would point out that recently in an interview Gus said he wanted players who wanted to play for us and were prepared to fight for their place not ones that were going to go running into his office demandinga loan as soon as they are not picked for the starting XI.

I would assume he was refering to McNulty and Tunnicliffe

At this level it's never gonna happen. Gus will find that out the hard way if he thinks decent back up will rot in the reserves as 2nd choice, however tough he thinks he is. We are not anywhere near big enough or succesful enough to expect good players to sit and bide their time as 2nd choice.

We have now got a much better left back in Painter though, NSC hasn't turned against him we just are not so bothered now as he has already been well replaced.

Has Painter signed? Could we end up with no left back at all?

Jimmy McNulty

Just been watching sky sports news and apparantly Jimmy wants to make loan move at Scunny permanent which with Painter just rejecting a new deal it could cause some problems. Would not be able to stand El Abd at left back the whole season lol.

I want Jimmy Mac back. If he goes we will regret it. At the same time I would wish him well if he did go, it would just be a shame as he has a lot of potential.

Never mind McNulty. I've just heard the Queen Mum feels a bit peaky. Hope she'll pull through.

Much as I'd love jimmy to stay, I'd honestly prefer someone a bit less talented but 100% committed to our club. In short he was a breath of fresh air when he arrived, got an awful injury, got nearly fit and played a bit, then went out on loan to get match fit then decides he wants away for good. Gonna get some stick on here, but IMHO f*** off jimmy we are going places and we should no longer have anyone involved with the Albion who is not totally committed to the gus bus. You have gone way down in my estimations young man.

Why dont people read the threads that are on the first page and thus see that this has already been mentioned.
