It is a shithole, you're right. But you don't care that it's a shithole. However you do care that we'll be in the Premier League next season, and you probably won't. Why else would this tearful thread exist?

You know, i'd love to be in the Premier league, but at any cost?

Would I want it, if it meant I had to live in a such a shit hole? Would the Premier league be better if it meant that I had to watch a loud mouthed violent scouse prick defiling the stripes? Would it really be worth it to watch such turgid ugly longball? Chris Hughton in exchange for a whinging ginger Dalek?

Would anyone really swap the Amex, one of the best training facilities in the land, flowing passing football and living in and around Brighton to live in Burnley watching dogshit football in an old dilapidated ground, just for the privilege of watching a hoof ball team get being hammered by the countries finest?

Nah, think I'd actually prefer league 1 as a Brighton fan than anything related to Burnley.

If you think anyone on here is Jealous of a Burnley fan, you're more barking than barton.

I have been there on more than one occasion..

Then hopefully next time you'll go with a better attitude. Although my closing tirade was no means directed at you alone, I hasten to add.

Why Burnley? The more I think about it the more depressed I feel.

I mean a glum northern town with no prospects and not a lot of fans, David bloody Fishwick, dilapidated ground and a place no one in their right mind would want to go to.

Football gods, you have a strange way of dealing the cards!

That is all

Have you actually ever been to Burnley.....or any other northern town for that matter? It's not all boarded-up streets. There a nice parts of most towns up there, very decent pubs and some stunning scenery on their doorstep. It makes me cringe when that pathetic " ***** 's a sh*thole - I wanna go home" is sung (no doubt at Boro on Saturday). Good luck to Burnley, and whoever goes up on Saturday....they will deserve it

Why are burnley fans getting upset that we think burnley is a shithole? It is a shithole even if you look at the Middlesbrough site they think burnley is a shithole. Pretty much the whole country thinks burnley is a shithole.

A bit like the "whole" country thinking that Brighton is full of Julian Clary types and smackheads.

I don't think that though because I'm not a dribbling idiot.

Having defended your town, Imploding Turtle ClaretMatt 8th battalion East Lancs -do tell me what that Singing Ringing Tree is all about. I just don't get it.

I don't think that any of us 'get' modern art but to be fair it doesn't look that bad and at least it plays a tune, unlike the Angel or the North say which I think looks quite awful.

But surely at some stage someone did.

As much as I think he's behaving like a fool you're pushing it now. Best go back to your own forum and celebrate your promotion.

For such a bad place it's surrounded by beautiful countryside. What outstanding countryside has the surrounding areas of Brighton got to offer?
