Popular? How odd...I'd say the more opinionated of the day won out.

I find it perplexing that people on here are happy to allow NSC to be a vechicle for this extremist to post, yet want to see Adrie banned for his trivial diatribes, or one week suspensions for various others. Yet this thread has it all and people are happy for it to remain.

You might notice that 'Adrie' is not banned for his trivial diatribes, and comparing some people with other groups of 'some people', is selective to make a point.... that actually is not a point!

ArdrianDINho or whatever he's called now, has been banned in the past for a lot less than whats been in that thread (if Bubas posts aren't called vitriolic spamming then what is?). As for the rest of your post, I have no idea what you're saying as it doesn't make sense?

I won't care if he's barred or the thread eradicated - this person 'Buba' was particularly annoying in that he used NSC to soap-box a single-minded doctrine, his viewpoint were unswayable by any sensibility or fact, and the base of it was in stone-aged stupidity that continues to exacerbate divisory views and ultimately violence.

As far as I can see, his did his argument no justice, and only reminded many of us that extremists are out there, and thrive on conflict. I shall remove myself more swiftly from their presence should I encounter one, or anyone who upholds such unswaying and dangerously stupid doctrine.

Well I agree with the basis of your post, but not really with the comparison of anything to do with banning 'Adri' - so I'm saying that it's not relative to compare people who are "happy to see Buba" with people who are "unhappy" with Adrimoronho.

Ahh right, well I made the comparison simply on the basis of what it took to get Adrie banned (or suspended) which Bube seemed to surpass but never got banned.

I think Buba did his own argument far more harm than good. If anything he highlighted the entrenched attitudes involved in the Arab-Israeli ongoing dispute(s) and why there doesn't look to be much hope for an early resolution that is acceptable to all sides. Just seems to be an argument going nowhere fast.

I've finally found the thread this is all about and started reading it.

Can it be deleted again please ?

It reminds me of some stone-age tribal thing, where one lot has a totem pole and the other has cave drawings. Each tribe tries to damage the other one for their differences, and the most prolific stone-age rock-ape goes around trying to broadcast his reasons for hating the other rock-ape. Territorial pissings, and no better or more important than that.

Well, it's important to them, and both sides have ancientish beliefs and teachings laying claim to the same piece of turf. Same as it ever was everywhere. Agree it's purely tribal and about the only good thing that can be said is the scraps are getting more localised. No more Cold War, no more World War. Suppose it's progress of a sort. Just don't feel like it.

It's Buba

And that's coming from you?

You sent me a PM at 7/3 (5 days ago) and thanked me for the links I provided, and now you come and says the opposite? Are you some kind of traitor? And what did you mean by saying: "to TURN me"? Turn we to where? To your church?

In my hometown - traitors/rats finish their life at the hanging post.

Never mind, the time that will pass will teach you that treason is not a good way, instead of your brain that should have told you that before.

Blimey! It's the hanging post for me then!

I did thank you for your links, but then again when you started your thread you were rational and polite and looked to be getting an uncalled-for rough ride. It looked like turning into a reasonable debate. Then you went into overdrive.

The TURNING thing was a joke. I meant we'd turn you into an Albion fan and you'd stay for the banter. Lighten up fella ;)

Oh, and I'll PM you this also, so you get it.

It is precisely that sort of arrogance and inflexibility that causes the depth of hatred and violence in your region.

I have work to do and will not get drawn into a long discussion today, but would suggest that you spend more time looking into your own conscience rather than posting idiological bile to people who will neither be impressed nor intimidated by it.

Think about treating everyone as you would wish to be treated yourself, with respect and consideration - it is a good place to start the long journey to a peace settlement.

And this journey starts with 'I can see his point of view and concerns, and am willing to concede that change is necessary on my part...' rather than 'We are right and they must change...'

Good luck on your journey, I think you will need it.
