He's not actually been AT Spurs for most of that period, so that seems a fairly stupid / deliberately misleading stat.

He's actually featured in 82 competitive matches in that period.

It's literally a fact: he has started four games for Spurs in the three years he has been there, hence the question of why he would be happy there.

It depends whether you wanted to see him signed or not. If you didn't, this is VERY positive news.
If we are going for someone in this position, which on the face of it would be a good idea, get someone with pace! It would help the whole of the team enormously. Gil is not quick and doesn't take players on.

And we've established he's not physical.

If you're right, it's a little difficult to see what the fella brings

It says it all when someone who is not great at all ala Gill won't even come here.
Although to be honest we need a decent strong midfielder instead of a weedy little scrote.

Romano has called the Gil situation. Apparently he never wanted to leave on loan in the first place.

Tbf didn't Ansu Fati need persuading to come on loan to us too? IIRC De Zerbi had to convince him personally.

Given how many AMs and wingers we're expecting back from injury and internationals in the coming weeks, I don't think it's too out of order for him to want to know how the manager intends to use him. If he just ends up sat on our bench as soon as Fati, Adingra, Mitoma etc. are back, that would be worse for his career than sitting on the Spurs bench for the rest of this season, because he'll be perceived as having failed to nail down a place at two clubs instead of one.
Call should be easy enough,

“Alright Bryan mate, you coming doing south?

You’re not sure? Let me tell you something Bryan, you’re not Ansu Fati so stop giving it the big one.

Ok, see you in abit”
