I'm reliably informed that a police request has been submitted for the home fixture against Palace to be a midweek evening kick-off and is highly likely to be granted. Quite liking that personally, should make for a cracking atmosphere at the Amex!

I agree trouble is the old bill run football in this country. It is an obvious midday kick off either Boxing Day, New Years Day or even the first Sunday lunchtime game.

whenever it is, we will all be there somehow, even if having to take time off. And whatever our preferences will make bugger all difference, but just hope for boxing day as a child of the 70's rivalry..... and those boxing day ding dongs were brilliant

They dont want the pikey scum to make a weekend of it. It doesn't really matter if parts of Sarf London get wrecked in the away fixture.

Why have they asked for just the home fixture?

It was Sussex Police who have submitted the request, it is up to the Met if they want to do anything about the away fixture as it falls into their constituency. In the case of Sussex Police it will be the first big rivalry game in the new ground and they probably want to ere on the side of caution.

Well neither of those are massive rivals so I would be inclined to say yes.
