The atmosphere will be a lot worse for a midweek game than for a weekend game, but midday games are shit.

A Saturday 5:45 kick off after all the other games have been played leaving just one game in the spotlight while all the other teams have finished, all eyes turn to this and it's on Sky.

Brighton v Palace.

in an ideal world , this.

sadly those pesky Police keep getting in the way ..

Not as shite as trying to get home from work, change, eat and rush to the Amex. Really want boxing day, but still much prefer mid day week-end to tuesday evening.

Not to mention for those of us coming home from London on a train full of Palace pikeys

Won't they all be sat on the roof of the train avoiding the inspector as the train companies wont accept 20p for a £20 train ticket?

As there are four more scheduled midweek games in the Championship than in L1 the likelihood is that one of the fixtures will be midweek.

dont matter
In the last 4 matches between us, wasn't the 'heavy defeat' the only 3pm KO on a Sat, the other 3 matches being midweek KO's?

Im inclined to believe that the police would not bother with making recommendations until the fixtures have been drawn.

Then fixtures will start being moved about.

Nope thats not the case at all, the old bill put requests in for various fixtures before they are drawn so they are ahead of the game when it comes to planning etc, its too much hassle not only for us but for other clubs to start messing around with requests after the fixtures are drawn. This is what I was told from a copper in the know anyway. That said he's not very reliable since he's now saying he might have got it wrong with the Palace and it could be a midday Sunday fixture request thats gone in, the numpty!

The ones I feel sorry for if it is midweek are the youngsters who have to go to school or college next day and travel a distance to the game like Ben from Guildford. Would there be more trouble at this game than the home game against Portsmouth or Southampton , I doubt it. Sunday lunch time ko for me.

Without Bill Archers destruction to hold us down and a series of Palace directors effectively stealing, others peoples money to prop you up in an artificial position...... where does the end of both past events leave us today?

Brighton assembling a squad of flair players, funded by a superfan chairman for their 21st century stadium and managed by a brilliant and much sought after former top international player.

Palace assembling a squad of freebies and cast offs, with bugger all funding from their allegedly mega rich quartet of fan owners, still playing in a crumbling relic half owned by a supermarket and managed by an un-sought after nobody, because Eddie Howe ditched you and nobody else was desperate enough except a former player with no experience.

Wait you mean players like Murray and Bennett..Oh wait

It's alright though because you clowns have spent 1.8M on the likes of Will Hoskins and Will Buckley. Real top class players:eek:.

Freebies and castoffs? Ambrose, Clyne, Speroni, etc. would walk into your first team, as well as, almost every other team in the division. Don't kid yourself.

You are right about one thing, Legoland looks top-notch. But again that doesn't earn you points next season.

Enjoy punching above your weight you mugs
