This will not be a cracker. Eddie Howe will ensure his team close us down all over the pitch like they normally do and bloody Ritchie will break away in 90th minute, skin Chicksen and beat PiG from 25 yards out. Or we'll win 4-1 and be all over them in which case it will be a cracker, just don't see it though - Howe knows how to stop teams playing football.

You do realise if we win this game you'll have to start the next match thread a3 days early? If we go on a little win streak this could get messy.

Bournemouth don't seem the same without Fletch in their ranks. He was the ultimate lower league CF, he won everything in the air and on his day he would have scored goals for anyone.

I see the club have named a stand after him... it should have bright orange seats to replicate his sun bed tan. Bloody great player in his day.

Howe seems to have our number...

Any half decent coach will know to play as high up the pitch as possible against us and to disrupt the pattern of (our) play in whatever way possible.....fair or foul.
Huddersfield, for example, countered us with a five man midfield. Bournemouth will almost certainly try to stop our fullbacks getting forward by pushing up on them and I suspect will look to play up close to Bridcutt and Ince to stop us moving forward freely. How we counter that will determine the result.

We are in decent form away from home, picked up good points at Forest and Burnley, and won our last 2 away. Will be interesting to see how this one turns out.

On another note.. have you guys had any postponements due to waterlogged pitch since the Amex opened? Wednesday looks set to be very wet and windy (again) with latest weather model output suggesting a very wet and windy morning/lunchtime period, was wondering how likely a postponement is?

Looking at the table, it is so frustrating that we dropped 5 points v Huddersfield and Charlton.

Resounding home wins against Bournemouth and Birmingham are needed, and then we go to Derby and see what happens.

Let's knock Adkins out of the cup while we are at it as well.
