Strange thread. Obviously we have to settle for what we get, since the laws of physics, and indeed, magic, don't allow for a re-run. In terms of what we wish for, is a humiliating defeat with red cards and injuries an option?

Oh I don't know, remember these ...'Do we actually want to go up?' .... 'Would we be better to not beat Derby?' Perhaps 3rd stupidest?

I`m just worried that a 2 or even 1 nil win would lead to us believing and playing as if job done. Would playing for a draw suit our game??
I do understand your point, some made the same point before the Middlesbrough game. And no doubt it has happened before, that a team has gone into a game trying to defend a lead, played poorly and invited pressure onto them, and lost.

But it's the manager's job to make sure their team isn't complacent, even when they start a game with a lead. And we have experienced players too, who aren't daft enough to think a game's won before it's won.

Using you're analogy, teams shouldn't score in the first half of any game, or they'll be complacent in the second half.

An away win on Friday is much better than a draw. Don't let anyone or anything convince you otherwise

Unbelievable some of the posters on here. Some proper thick questions like the one you have mentioned and this thread

I think it must be promotion anxiety it causes some people to lose all sense of reason and perspective. Add in all the poor old us threads it's enough to make your eyes bleed.

Win away at Hillsborough and we'll suddenly be the best team in the world again guaranteed promotion *sheesh*

1-2 win away and then a thumping 4-1 home performance in other words the same scores that lead us to Wembley in 91.

Ok, your right i am naughty !
i am not confident we will get there though (W*mb**y) I didn't see the home match against sheff w, but was told by a nsc member sheff w new exactly how to play us and we didn't get a sniff.
I hope CH has the ultimate plan!
