Why did he take so long?

And that applies to the other players as well. The risk of an injury is great enough to want the security of a contract that suits both club and player (might not suit the agent?).

Should be worth a goal start against Fulham without him even playing!

Pleased he has signed but if we don't go up then he among others will likely be off to pastures new. At least it will be our decision and not his.

I wonder why he has been dragging his heels? At least Stephens admitted he wanted to leave.

What fantastic news. Hopefully this helps a few other players make their mind up in our favour now.

I looked at the front page and went straight toward the pornography thread, besweated in deep worry. Only out of the corner of my wanky eye did i spot this.
Excellent news. Glad he's glad enough to be with us more.

Now, what's this about no spanking!?!?!

Have Stockdale and Bong been offered new contracts? We've known that Kayal has had an offer since August, but I've not heard of their offers at all.
Not as far as i know, but we can't really be sure.

Wonderful news. Such a key player.

Not so confident about Dale unless we go up.

It's been a great day for Albion fans and more proof that Tony intends to fully back CH in our bid for promotion. SOD the train problems, let's take this feelgood factor in to Saturday's match

Long live the King :)

I was always confident he would re-sign, and the injury certainly helped clear the mind too I am sure.

Probably going to get resoundingly flamed for this, but am I the only one that reacts with a m-eh when I hear of players signing a new contract?

Yeah sure, it means they intend to stay with us, and if we do sell the player it helps to get a big fee, but let's be honest, if the right bid comes in, or a player really does want to leave, the contract is hardly worth the paper it's written on.
