Remember that time whent Rafa said he was interested in a "project" and some of us convinced ourselves it was a reference to little old Championship club Brighton?

Now you can imagine protests if that scenario ever came to pass.

Just shows how far we've come ... etc etc.

When l think of the number of managers Everton have employed and then summarily dismissed in the last few years, coupled with the countless millions they have splurged on new "talent", all to no avail, leads me to one conclusion.

The problems at Goodison Park go way deeper than just the playing side of the club. The job of Manager, or First Team Coach, has become something of a poisoned chalice.

Doubtless l'm in a minority of ermmm, one, but am l really the only poster who thinks Wayne is making a pretty good fist of things at Derby?

It certainly can't be easy working under all the constraints he faces there.

Maybe his number 2 doesn't get the credit he deserves either?

Dear Baby Jesus please make it happen. Would be WAY shorter timeline than demise of Fat Spanish Waiter. Far funnier also :lolol:

You do know we are 9th in the table and 9 points above Everton? How does that lead you to think that Potter would get sacked quicker than Benitez?

Not at all, I think he is doing a remarkable job at Derby considering all the constraints. How he hasn't walked by now is testament to him. If Derby managed to stay up he would be manager of decade in the championship.
