Colleague is a Palace fan, he said there were chants of "You're not City any more!"
There was a Scottish manager up on merseyside in the 60's/70's that would have disagreed with you.
He said some other "romantic" things too...

I couldn't give too hoots about what shankley said. Anyone who makes reference to his life or death quote as relevant to football is, in my view, pathetic. Having said that, I admit football did once mean a lot more to me but the events of 1985 completely changed my view. It's about putting things in perspective and when you grow up you might be able to do that. It is not fundamental as you keep making reference to, it is, if anything, peripheral.
I'm sure we got the idea from here , the fanatics ( bless em ) did one in support of the tigers to show solidarity so to speak . Maybe you should do one for the hull game unless your not DBR ( display banner ready ) .
Every successful leaflet/twitter/banner campaign needs a catchy mnemonic slogan to ride under....the obvious example being Ernest's ARS.
I was thinking Change Unnecessary No Tigers....perhaps with some of NSC's finest pictured on the banner. I'd buy the t-shirt.
If you could change that around to form the word c.l.i.t.u.r.u.s then I'm in.Or maybe "Keep Calm It's Not Our Problem" on the front, and a list of clubs facing problems with owners on the back?
The one supporting hull was at kick off time the one you saw was a rush job I think after half time . I say rush job cause you could smell the spray paint rather stronglyi was there last night in the Hull end (im an Albion season ticket holder but some colleagues over from the US wanted to watch a premier lague game)
The Palace banner i saw wasnt in support of Hull (although there may have been) but attacking the Met police for not dealing with the 6 stabbings in 10 days around Croydon. Palace fans were heard chanting "Tigers, Tigers" at the hull fans though that was quite funny.
**** me though, loads of Palace live in brighton and overheard some quite funny conversations slagging off the Albion - ie we only had 6000 fans before 2011, we are thier feeder club etc - just had to laugh really
reagrding hull - i reckon we will beat them based upon last nights showing
Or maybe "Keep Calm It's Not Our Problem" on the front, and a list of clubs facing problems with owners on the back?
You are a nerd of the highest order. You complain of my condescending tone but then do exactly the same. Read the thread again and you will see that the insults started from those that want to support Hull's 'cause' and many of your own posts do the same looking down your noses as a holier than thou uber fans at us mere mortals.
Of for goodness sake Drew. Nobody is looking down anyone's nose at anyone. This is something you've introduced to the thread.
Hit a nerve?
If you'd hit a nerve you'd have probably got abuse , what you got was incredulity at your earnest , almost bovine stupidity, you , are a bedwetter and drip, extraordinaire.
Can't quite see the hypocrisy in what you've written there can you?
And he keeps coming back for more!!!!
