I just don't see the point in slagging players off for the sake of it, especially not our own. It was a bad enough day at the office as it is, we can do without excessively harsh criticism of individuals

Brighton / Hove actually
Harsh. There was nothing wrong with the pass, rather it was Uwe's subsequent stumble. As to the lack of a shout to Tomori that needn't have stopped him putting the ball out for a corner. There's no point in all this scapegoating. We played poorly as a unit, particularly defensively.

Agree, Uwe had plenty of time and space, but to be fair to Uwe his standing foot slipped in the mud as he kicked the ball to the opposition. Lincoln did well to take advantage and score, but Uwe was a bit unlucky in the first instance.

Hardly surprising given that they'd never played together.

Always struck me as odd that we have kept Casper for so long. He is nowhere near good enough for a Championship side, let alone a top Championship side.

Let's hope we recall Walton today. Unfortunately the club do seem to have a thing about playing down injuries as "not serious" and then the player is out for weeks!

Any news on Maenpaa injury or is it too early?

Report on the Argus says it's too early. Could be one or two games, could be no time out, could be longer. I guess they are reluctant to recall Walton if it's only going to be one or two games as he'll be left playing development games by the middle of Feb where as he could be playing regularly in a side challenging for promotion. Surely he'll develop better left at Luton getting regular football and we need to look at who is available on loan or a short term deal.

Casper coaches the U18 keepers, but keeps his registration as a player, because we need three keepers. Incidentally, he kept 11 clean sheets in 2011/12 in the Championship.

With due respect that was 5 years ago and he was considerably younger and more capable then. Apparently he looked old and past it on Saturday according to some of our fans and also their penalty taker in todays papers.

Their penalty taker said he was surprised at how old Caspar looked, nothing was said about him looking "past it". There was nothing CA could do about any of their goals, a penalty and two mistakes by defenders.

Rather sign someone than recall Walton. Walton will benefit more from playing for Luton than sitting on our bench.

Agreed. Sanchez can warm the bench for a couple of weeks. Good experience for him.

In addition should we get an injury to another keeper we can still sign one, outside the window, as the emergency loan rule still exists for goalkeepers due to it being a specialist position.

That only applies if Stockdale, Maenpaa and Ankergren are all injured at the same time.

I think that he was being polite and it was 2 defensive errors compounded by goal keeping inadequacies. It is the view of many that were there that he played a ball to Hunemier who had players around him and his experience should have helped Tomori but it didnt ad he didnt tell him he had time to do what he wanted. Which I and many others apparently would have expected him to do.

I would not be happy to rely on him in a league game, 5 years ago yes but not now.

Surely it would count if two are injured as we need a keeper on the bench? I am sure we can say Caspar picked up an injury stubbing out a fag.
