I'll donate 10 of your English pounds to the REMF if we don't win 5 by the end of the games!

Far cry from your 16 at the Sydney games. You can see the drop off of Australian sport now quite clearly.

Do you reckon Black Caviar could do dressage ?

Is that the dummy spitting Wiggins you mentioned earlier ?

See you misconstrue that I think his dummy spit was a bad thing.

It wasn't.

It showed Wiggo has the mindset of a Champion. He has high expectations of himself and at times those around him.

Regardless of some of the tripe posted in this thread that it's all about hating one side, Wiggo as a British athlete is a very popular rider when he comes out here and competes in the Jayco Tour. When he won it it was a most popular win indeed despite beating local riders.

Well as a host nation it helps a lot with the medal tally. You'd hope GB could snag up to 30 golds come the end of the games with the talent they have at present over all sports.

Black Caviar's in the paddock mate out injured and out for the whole of the Spring Carnival.

Sounds like you or I could give her a run for her money at present.

We won't get 30. Target is to beat Beijings total but that will be tricky.

ps saw that no hoper Frankel at Goodwood on Wednesday. Too easy but the Judmonte at York later in the month will be better at 10 furlongs.
Was the scene of Brigadier Gerard's only loss in 73.

Maybe your English isn't very good, but saying a sportsman spat their dummy is not a compliment. You could have said he was really pissed off, the mark of a champion, but instead you likened him to a baby.

My English is fine.

The way he reacted was a "dummy spit". Children throw tantrums and his profanity laden outburst during the tour was a dummy spit regardless of the silly media he had to deal with.

That's fine except that you are claiming that your comment is not negative:

Either
a) your English isn't very good
or
b) you're too stubborn to admit your contradiction

I'm going for b), that's usually the reality.

I love the fact that rather than just admitting he can't handle his drink and acted like a twat, he blamed it on their bad defeat.

He says that athletes need help to deal with the disapointment of defeat, well ive not seen any other loser act like that, just admit you're a bit of a dick man and dont look for excuses!

Once again you don't follow.

He had a dummy spit, but he had it because he's passionate about his sport and performances.

Not that hard to follow really.

Did you hear about the cyclist who deliberately crashed so his team could get a restart and a better start to the race?

So winning a gold medal and breaking a world record is stupid to Aussies now?

Well actually, that would tally up with your performance so far.

That GB is a serious flying machine. Almost unbeatable with the speeds they generate.

They didn't have to do something silly like that to achieve what they did.

I'm a mad cycling fan, I'd rather watch Wiggins and Cancellara rip up a time trial than some silly rowing race.

I'm just not a fan of anything that can give cycling bad press when the sport already battles bias as it it with its history regardless of where the riders come from(whether its in the rules or not).

Yes they did. He was falling off his bike at the start. He could have stayed on it, but he'd have lost too much time, so he did the intelligent thing. That event is won and lost by small margins, you can't afford to lose as much as he'd have lost.

I'm saying you could do that!

Your programs have been very well laid out leading up to these games by some shrewd operators. David Brailsford and Shane Sutton have done an immense job with your cycling team.

Your commennts show that even when someone compliments you you turn it into a negative and abuse the person. Says a lot about you as a person really.

Just to reiterate...

You'd hope GB could snag up to 30 golds come the end of the games with the talent they have at present over all sports.

In normal person talk that means you've a lot of talented athletes who are capable of going for gold in their respective sports.

I'm just going by what I saw and what he said.

"We were saying if we have a bad start we need to crash to get a restart," Hindes said.

"I just crashed, I did it on purpose to get a restart, just to have the fastest ride. I did it. So it was all planned, really."

Not suggesting it's cheating or anything of the sort, just a tad disappointing for a great sport.
