Had a piss next to Sven Goran Eriksson at BBC TVC. Saw his cock. Average.

Now that's another thread - people you've had a piss next to.

I have Jimmy Case, Ronnie Corbett, Scott Quinnell and David Suchet on my list.

On holiday years ago in LA. Went in a cafe with my mates for breakfast. On the only other occupied table sat Arnold Schwarznegger with some body builder types. We had just seen a showing of Terminator 2 as well on its original release. So must have been about 1991. Funnily he did'nt look anything like as big as I expected but I believe that is often the case with movie stars. Big screen perceptions etc

I saw Deidre Barlow in John Lewis in Cheadle the other week; and the original Tracy Barlow DJs at a bar in Manchester every Saturday. I've also seen Ken at the Trafford Centre, so just need Peter now to complete the set.

I have been in the queue at Thresher's behind Deidre Barlow.

The sad thing is I have only heard of about half of the "celebs" mentioned so far.

I've played poker on the same table as Teddy Sheringham, Shane Warne and Toby Maguire.

Linekers Missus is an aspiring actress who is performing herself at the Hampstead Theatre so maybe related to that in some way.

Free the Weatherfield One. Did she discuss her prison experiences with you.

In a tea-room in Stratford about 40 years ago We had Eileen Atkins sat at the next table.

While on the way home from work in Southampton, going through the ticket barrier at Southampton Station, the man behind me asked the ticket Inspector "Is this the London train?" I didn't need to turn round to know it was Tommy Cooper. But I did turn round to check, and it was, even though he wasn't wearing a fez.

And in a locksmiths in Southampton a few years ago I was being served when David Gower came in. The way he spoke to the lady behind the counter he struck me as an arrogant little twerp who expected everyone else to know who he was and give him extra special service..... but I may have got a false impression.

PS - My daughter served Graeme Souness in our local chip shop a few years ago. She didn't realise who it was until the owner told her.

I had a part-time job at a supermarket in Hollingbury when i was a teenager at college. Recall having Stuart Storer come through my checkout. He was disciplining one of his kids. Looked like he was losing his rag somewhat. Around 97-98. Still, he scored that all important last goal at the Goldstone, so that will always be my lasting memory of him

I also saw Dave "Boy" Green, the Boxer, buying a pram in the John Lewis store in Cambridge a few years ago.

Darren Anderton having a blazing row with his wife in Marks and Spencer at Hedge End in the furniture section.

And James Beattie stroking cushions in a very strange way in John Lewis in Southampton relatively recently.

If you're in Stratford in the summer season, it's almost impossible to avoid actors. If you're talking about 1973, it was a good year for the RSC - Eileen Atkins was Rosalind in AYLI with the aforementioned David Suchet playing Orlando (and Maureen Lipman as Celia). I remember getting Atkins and Suchet's autographs that year.

I was at a conference on Election day in 1997 where the then Bishop of Liverpool, the Rt Revd David Sheppard, was one of the speakers - famous to me having been brought up in Sussex as Sussex and England opening bat, whom my father idolised. At the end of the day, he went round to everybody who was talking in small groups to say hello - as if I needed him to say "Hello, I'm David Sheppard". A nicer more genuine and humble person you could not hope to have met.

I went to the Grosvenor casino after watching the Premier League Darts last month and Michael Van Gerwen turned up. A few quid on the roulette tables and a game of poker.

He was still there when I left around 3am.

That was precisely what we saw! I can also remember seeing David Suchet in a Moliere play at the Connaught Theatre in Worthing, before he was famous, playing Sganarelle, the highly comic servant character in Dom Juan. I was doing A-Level French at the time. He was absolutely brilliant and I was not surprised when he started to do very well.

I was in Tescos by George Street a couple of years ago and went to pick up a tub of Flora and my hand brushed this bloke's hand...I said sorry and looked up in to teh eyes of Paul McCartney!

It was so funny as he was walking round getting groceries, people kept talking to him and he had a standard patter that he used....Oh Thankyou...nice to see you too...thanks very much..etc etc

I once hit Keplar Wessels on teh head with a quick bouncer in the nets at Brighton and Hove CC when i was a fairly swift bowler
