Not embarassed or ashamed, but felt like a total and utter MUG!

Weve been through alot as supporters in recent years but as things stand this could definatley be the straw that break the camels back.

If we go down and perform like we are at present how many people will renew their season ticket? I wont, but will still go but will be more selective with the games I go to. (like checking the weather forecast)

Can the club survive with a small injection of season ticket sales next season?

Getting rid of McGhee was the right decision.

Whether giving Dean the job on a permanent basis so quickly was such a good idea, I'm not sure.

And today's performance was dire.

I, too, believe that Wilkins can do a job but I was upset for McGhee getting the boot. I think Wilkins desperately needs some more support - a decent coach - Graham Rix, anyone!?

Also, what the team desperately needs in some confidence and I think we could do with an experienced coach coming in as well.
I also feel that we are letting them down. I know that the performances are not worth £25, but if we are able to lift them....Most of our points (last season) came when we made an awful lot of noise and showed the players what the club means to us now. I think the only song I heard today was "What a waste of Money".

Fans talk about being ashamed & embarased and yes the performance today was poor. But what is really embarassing is fans slating the club then turning they're back on it. I'm ashamed of those so called fans. I dont get to as many games as I would like but when me & little Bulldog do get to the Withdean we spend a lot of money, win lose or draw we make up for the games we dont get to.

I will renew my season ticket whatever the end result of this season, because if the club that I love has any chance whatsoever of getting out of the slide that we seem to be in, then it needs the backing of loyal fans (please don't think I'm labelling anyone who doesn't renew as disloyal, I'm not attempting to offend anyone).

Simple fact is that I will pay to watch this club whatever league we are in, and nothing will ever ever change that, nor could anything ever make me ashamed to tell anyone who asks that I'm a Brighton & Hove albion supporter.

Alex Frutos I agree and I will allways go to most matches but Im not sure if I can justify paying £500 for a ticket to sit in the rain and watch drivel! Anymore!

What Im trying to say is if that enough people deside they dont want a season ticket that would have dire results for the club as im sure the season ticket money is the only thing keeping the club going.

At the goldstone we had far less season ticket holders because you could turn up at the gate and get a ticket, having a season ticket at withdean used to be invaluable as you could not guarantee getting a ticket for a game as the demand was high, but now with the ground half empty why do you need a season ticket?

Just chuckling at Charlton
Be disappointed yes, be angry sure, but NEVER be ashamed of your club, lets face it you are swimming against the tide constantly, whatever manager is in charge is on a hiding to nothing.

Of course, Wilkins has my backing until he is no longer the manager, but I just wish we had kept things the way they were. McGhee in charge with Wilkins learning his trade, rather than being thrown in at the deep end.

Have to agree.

That was the worst performance I've seen for many a long year, probably the worst at Withdean.

What was really depressing about it was that there seems to be nothing positive to take from the last two home games. Nothing you could think will be different in the next game or the rest of the season.

Why get rid of McGhee so quickly if Wilkins was always going to be the only replacement considered? Why give Wilkins the permanent job after three defeats? Why not keep it temporary until things had settled down with the option of bringiing someone else in if it didn't. We must be up shit creek financially but the board don't want to let on to us or our opponents.

I know its transition and we need to show patience but at the moment we are just being asked to show blind faith!

Comes to something when you have to issue an apology in advance for calling for loyalty :(

Agree with everything you say.

Sounds so familiar!

Getting rid of Holloway was the right decision.

Perhaps an experienced manager is what you need to turn things around but if it was a mistake to give the job to Wilkins now, DK needs to acknowledge that now and act quickly and sort it out.

Wish you well.

Where do I start ???

I think for the first time I can ever recall I was ashamed to be an Albion fan today. This performance was so far off the radar for acceptable performances it did not register.

We were a laughing stock across the length and breath of the UK for those who did not turn over to Diagnosis Murder after 10 minutes.

It was a pitiful performance, bereft of any skill , passion, commitment or endeavour. If this is what the players do under Wilkins management he should go now. I feel sorry for Dean as he is an Albion stalwart and has done great things for the youth team but he is hopelessly out of his depth. This is a carbon copy Hinshelwood scenario both good guys but thrown in the deep end with no legs and no life jacket. Wilkins as I said before 1 game does not have the tatcical nous or contacts at this level. What is so annoying is that we already had the right man for the job in place with Wilkins 2nd in comand. This was the right set up.

If DK bowed to fans wishes he made a cock up. I love DK , he is an Albion hero and DK and Bamber are the 2 greatest chairmen this club have had but we need an experienced manager and McGhee was that man. I am just very sad and angry, not only paying £ 900 for 2 st on the basis McGhee was staying for the season as he would have got us to the play offs at least but then giving the job to Wilkins was plainly the wrong decision.

The target this season is now to finish 20th but judging by the last 2 performanes, the 2 worst back to back performances I can ever recall Wilkins is taking us down.

I was actually ashamed and embarrassed to be an Albion fan today and I don;t think I have felt that before.

You should have been DEEPLY ashamed of your ridiculously over-exuberant touting of the Albion as By FAR The Greatest Team The World Has Ever Seen on the strength of two earlydoors victories against piss-poor opposition. The lack of quality in the squad was there for all to see. Since then, it's only got worse.

Blackpool fans were Over The Moon today. They're not used to winning, certainly not 3-0 away from home. They might never win another game all season. But today they were playing against a pub team who, without serious investment in the playing side, will drop straight through this division and be struggling to stay out of the conference this time next year. Game's up.

Or from the start of the 2005/6 season:

Slightly less impressive.

We're losing to Chesterfield and Blackpool at home, really time to let go of losing to the likes of Sheffield United, Southampton and Watford.......
