:lolol: how could he possibly do any worse

Stoke at home, Crewe at home. At least try & get behind the club! I've heard about people who are only happy when they're miserable but I allways thought they were mythical! Sadly not!

hindsight is a terrible thing- maybe you bandwagon jumpers should have considerd things a little more carefully before you jumped onto the MM out wagon- who were you expecting to be appointed? kevin keegan? bobby robson? or maybe tempt venebles away from the england set-up?

We pro-McGuee fans have probably earnt the right to feel a little smug. But it's not going to help things as they are now.

That's clearly not true - you can argue about whether he might be doing better now, but you're kidding yourself if you think McGhee's position was anything other than totally untenable ... he'd lost the crowd, and the players were hardly giving their all for him.

There's no way he could have kept his job.

And he gave away two players who now play in the Premiership. If the results did not merit a sacking then this did.

its not Wilkins fault

I am sorry but that is utter cobblers, Wilkins does the training , wprks on the game plan, makes the team selection , motivates them in the changing room, makes the subs, influences the game, saying that just gives him an excuse to be utter shite every game with no consequences.

I shouted Wilkins that was rubbish as I walked past the dug out and make no apologies for that today, the guy needs to know that performance was completely and totally unacceptable.

Stoke at home was entirely understandable. I think a lot of people underestimate how the players feel when they get relegated. Do you remember the Grimsby game? Cullip et al, in tears!? Of course, it was still a bitter pill to swallow and an unusual game. "ROOONEY ROOOOOONEY!!"

These young guys had to lift themselves for another game against a decent Stoke side. When McGhee called the match irrelevant, I am sure this was to salvage something for the players. They were mortified and ashamed - would it have been right for McGhee to send them on their holidays telling them what a useless bunch of players they are?

Crewe could have been very different had Mayo not got himself sent off....

Of course, Wilkins has my backing until he is no longer the manager, but I just wish we had kept things the way they were. McGhee in charge with Wilkins learning his trade, rather than being thrown in at the deep end.

Bollocks. It is possible to be on the books at a Premiership club and be crap by its standards - Jeff Minton came from the Premiership also! CKR and Jarett aren't going to set that league alight and both 'play' for 2 of the weakest teams that will be relegated next year. Both have great potential and were signed on that basis. I'd even now argue that both 'had' great potential.

I think I am being a bit dense. Which two players did he give away?

:dunce: I forgot about Jarrett.

I was sad to lose CKR as he obviously has talent, but how difficult is it to put in 100% Even if he doesn't like the manager, he bloody signed for him in the first place!!

Maybe i'm batting a lonely wicket here BOF but i'm still convinced that Wilkins is the Man to take us forward. And i'm still firmly in the belief that what we're suffering now is a result of the rot that set in during January this year, It's gonna take time to turn it around.

Lets not forget that when McGhee left us we were going downhill without a break. It's upto us all if we live or die.

I, too, believe that Wilkins can do a job but I was upset for McGhee getting the boot. I think Wilkins desperately needs some more support - a decent coach - Graham Rix, anyone!?

Also, what the team desperately needs in some confidence and I think we could do with an experienced coach coming in as well.
I also feel that we are letting them down. I know that the performances are not worth £25, but if we are able to lift them....Most of our points (last season) came when we made an awful lot of noise and showed the players what the club means to us now. I think the only song I heard today was "What a waste of Money".

Anyway, Wilkins has my full suport until he is no loner emplyed by us. He needs to settle them down and put a stop to the rot. A point in the next game will do us the world of good.

That's surprising.

Forget MM and get behind the team after all he left us with these players.

Deano needs some support from the fans remember he is an Albion fan and will try everything and i mean everything to get it right.
