Some up there ^^^ are saying you're wrong and that we can't play in the conference.
I'm just not going to worry about it and take each game as it comes (whilst checking prices for flights to Dublin).

OK, thanks, it was starting to feel almost impossible to be fully knocked out of Europe at one point on this thread bar finishing bottom

We would only go to Conference if we came 3rd in the group - we have secured at least a place in the Europa playoffs where we would face 3rd placed Champions League and winners from the Conference group too - if we get knocked out of those, we are out - but we are going to beat Marseille and go straight to the round of 16.

If we finish second in the group we will be playing one of the 3rd place Champions League sides.
The Conference League group winners are not involved in the play offs. They are through to the last 16 of that competition. Clubs can only drop into a lower competition there is no pathway to move up into a higher competition.

RB Salzburg
Feyenoord
Milan
Young Boys
Shakhtar
Some tricky potential fixtures there, but nothing that's clearly beyond us.

Don't be so mean! It's not like we've ever been in this situation before!
The only football I take any notice of at all is Brighton & strangely enough until last season I have never had to worry about which position in the PL you had to reach to get into Europe competitions!!! FFS, I didn't even realise there were 3 Europe competitions until last season. I just thought there was the CL.

Hope we finish second and draw Young Boys so we can finally say we've been Wankdorf.
I'm now more confused. Doesn't the '10 teams eliminated from the EL play-off round' mean that yes, yes it is the case that if we finish 2nd, then lose the play-off game, we go to the conference?
