I would be grateful to the manager for his actions.
I dont even understand how you could leave your card in a shop
THEY GIVE IT TO YOU IN YOUR HAND

Not sure he has a legal right to shred something he doesn't own.
I know she left it....but destroying it in less than 1 day is a bit OTT ( in my opinion)
oh and nothing wrong with Aldi food..

Why not?
I'm sure @edna krabapple will straighten you out!
Well I'd hate to leave my car in his car park overnight.
I'm sure they would have the right to clamp it or have it removed.
Wifey left her card in Aldi yesterday at 5pm, noticed it was missing today at 9am.....contacted Aldi (0844 number no direct calling allowed to store) took 15 mins on hold,
eventually get through to store and the manager tells my wife that he shredded the card this morning before the store opened, due to security issues.!!!
Is less than 1 working day sufficient time to let the lost card owner get it back before shredding?
Tescos (from experience) I know hold them for 72 hours...
Bunch of tw@ts.........
Should I complain as it now takes a few days to sort out a replacement or just let it go?
Rant over..
Or crush it by the sounds of this prick running the store.
I'd get a punch in the face if I used the term wifey

really?
I cancel cards as soon as I miss them just in case - even though a couple of times I have found them an hour later, which by then was too late.
I wouldn't have relied on just getting it back as who knows who has copied the details for on-line and phone purchases. If somebody has all the details including the security number on the back, you are stuffed if the card is still live.
Loads of people have had my details, with the security number - I give it to them when making purchases. If somebody has all the details including the security number on the back, you are stuffed if the card is still live.
Why the keenest to cancel cards so quickly?
There no good to anyone without the pin![]()
Sorry but that's wrong - you could have a spending spree online without ever needing your pin!
