For any fan of neo-classical piano, this is absolutely fantastic.

Cooler than a penguin's codpiece.

Bath, Somerset.
Following 2018's superb 'No-one Cares About Your Creative Hub, Get Your F****** Hedge Cut', those wonderfully droll Scouse social observers and wry satirists are back with this brilliantly amusing offering. Nigel Blackwell is truly one of the best lyricists around.

New mix can be found here:
https://www.mixcloud.com/The_Airing_Cupboard/sounds-of-the-airing-cupboard-73/

Tracklist:
1. Fadi Alghoul - Kanastra
Kuwaiti producer soundtracks the memory of the 1991 Gulf War
2. Painting - Symmetrical Pattern
Post punk track built around three different vocalists
3. Halfsilks - No Wire Hangars
More post punk though this group replace the angular guitars with a synth
4. Yadovitaya Subachiya Slyuna - 1 Zhervta
Ukrainian post punk with wonky vocals - their name translates as Poison Dog Saliva
5. Yeule - Friendly Machine
Glitchy electronic pop with a PC Music flavour
6. Bergsonist - Fasting
Experimental techno from Morocco with Lolina on vocals
7. Soft-Boiled Human & Swordman Kitala - Core Braver
UK producer and Ugandan rapper combine over samples of Godzilla sounds
8. Otoboke Beaver - Pardon?
All girl Japanese punk group combine speed brevity and attitude. First song they've sung with English lyrics, I believe, albeit repeats of the words: "I don't know what you mean", "pardon", "shut up" and "f*** off"
9. The Submissives - Sweetly
Either this group cannot or deliberately play their instruments out of tune - I am inclined towards the later because it all somehow works. The lyrics hint towards the group's name but really subvert it.
10. Horsegirl - Anti-Glory
Three teenage girls throw out a tune that is influenced by everything from the Gang of Four to the Strokes but retain their own voice.
11. 33EMYBW - Macro Cosmic
Chinese experimental electronica that draws in styles from east and west
12. Leevisa - Avant Garde Challenge
In the same vein as the previous track but this time from South Korea
13. Lila Tirando a Violeta & Nicole Cruz - Cuerpo Que Flota
Experimental dance from Uruguay
14. Fructose Father & Oscar Mic - Yeah Boi
Funky, noisy and very pop
15. Model Stress - Crisis Actor
Edgy experimental indie
16. En Attendant Ana - I'm a man you don't meet everyday
Cover of the Pogues track from Rum, Sodomy & the Lash loses its Celtic instruments, speeds up the guitars and adds trumpets
17. Koia Rain - City Woman
80s electronic pop influenced spoken word number

As someone who occasionally dips in to these threads rather than contributing I have belatedly noticed this, read it and merged the two threads. If you want something merged it's fine to report it. We'll probably notice that faster.

Anyway, looks like I have a whole bunch of music to catch up on so thanks chaps.

Highly talented Scottish singer-songwriter and musician Kathryn Joseph treats us to her new record 'for you who are the wronged'.

It's rather lovely.

A lot of people online absolutely raving about Jack White’s new album, saying it’s his best ever.

Anyone listened?

I have it. It's pretty good, better than the previous one for sure. There's a bit of white stripes energy to it. I think I prefer his first solo album but I'm not going to argue against anyone that thinks this one is his best.
