He mentioned something on his Instagram saying what a great time he'd had there and he hoped to get another chance, so it suggests he was only on a short term contract (which makes absolute sense) and is waiting to hear whether they'll re-sign him.

Why would the MLS or Saudi want a failed Championship footballer who nobody over there will have heard of? I'm sure he'd absolutely jump at that chance if it came, but it's not going to.
